  • @ACDC392333

    Effin' yes!

  • Bill is from Innisfail where I came from. Alan came from Scotland and lived in Vancouver during the 80s and 90s. Alan and Bill played often at the WISE Club where I hung out when I was single. I don't know if Alan is still in Vancouver. I lost touch with both Fellows after I got married in 95. Alan's dad was the director of the Glasgow school of art.

  • @TheDustyDeck

Cool to know a bit of background thanks, I like Innisfail!

  • Fantastic! There is a serious shortage of Bourne and McLeod on youtube. ^^

  • Bill has his own web-site, buy from Bill

  • @christinefalk1 I actually downloaded this song from his website years ago. I don't know if he still offers this song as a free download though

  • great music

  • go buy Bill Bourne's CD, it is all great stuff

  • this really wonderful song and the video was great

  • I have always luved Bill Bourne but best luved his music from Bourne & McLeod. Glad 2 see someone posted his stuff on Youtube!

  • Thanks! Hopefully Bill doesn't mind me posting this song up

  • That tunings called open D minor. Not commonly used, but not obscure either.

  • The bagpiper is Alan MacLeod. He and Bill Bourne played as a duo for awhile. This song was off their cd entitled Moonlight Dancers, 1992. They also made Dance & Celebrate in 1990. I loved them because I grew up in a family of bagpipers and folk singers. It's too bad the video maker didn't give full credit to both.

  • Thatnks Lori, I'm going ot add these credits to the "about this video" blurp.

  • You're welcome, that's great! :-)

  • I don't know anything about music, but I'm sure that makes sense to someone who does.

  • thanks rich
