What is funny in this video?? He is actually using his ways to teach the dog owners to concentrate in what he is talking about. I think it's more effective way than reading a book or something.
To sum up my opinion: the techniques Millan uses are outdated, overly harsh, borderline cruel (if not outright cruel), dangerous and can cause side-effects sometimes worse than the original behavior problem they were supposed to solve.
How are they "cruel"? Does he hurt the dogs, scare them, traumatize them? And how can his techniques possibly be "outdated"? Is there something like "old-fashioned" and "modern" dogs? Have you tried them on dogs in the correct manner? I've tried some of the techniques on over-excited dogs I walk with from a nearby shelter and they always end up calmer and more obedient, and turn out to be real sweethearts.
@MsLabMom dude ur acting like its a human, its an animal they dont think like us, maybe u used the techniques wrong, i admit i did some wrong in the 1st times , instead of being dominant i was being a bit aggresive to the dog (without really noticing myself) but after that when i was dominant my dog dit it, a technique for dogs cannot be oldfashioned, they dont evolve like humans they live the moment, nothing cruel about it ,u shoul c mother nature doing its work.. its cruel but correct. =/
