to have ever happened to me in my life. CP Rail tried to settle it out of court by giving every member of every household 250$ lmfao!! My mom, not being stupid, said "No" and we took them to court. Five plus years down the road, we settled for a little over $150,000 split between my Mom, brother and myself. I have permanent burns on my tear ducts and have since developed asthma.
I was living in Minot, when the derailment he talks about in More Info happened. It happened around 1am and my mom wasn't woken up until around 3:45am and that's when she woke my brother and I up. Our front door was wooden, since it was winter it had swelled up and wouldn't shut too easily, turns out the door was open 3 inches all night until about 4:30am. We taped up all doors, boiled tons of water, sat in the bathroom with the shower on and wet towels under all the doors. Hands down, scariest
This a result of a driver always being in a hurry, and not checking his truck. Even when not hauling hazardous cargo, missing a pre trip inspection can mean a matter of life, and death to the trucker, and the public. I always check my truck before and after the trip which is required by law. Thats a good law by the way.
i hate idiot like there was one guy in offerle kansas he went to fill his tank well he forgot that it was already full it was 80% full and he was putting it in and the relef vaulve shot off and was shotting that stuff in the air a good 20 feet
