TrickOfLove: Best of MUCC is $12, Despa's MIRROR is $13.99, The Underneath's MOON FLOWER is also $11.99. Please support J-Rock in America by buying the U.S. re-releases, even you already already have the imports. Do it anyway because its supporting the bands efforts to expand their fanbase to the USA. Buying what they release over here helps let them know they have a market for it.
:: sigh :: What I would have GIVEN to be able to go to the Rochester show. T_T I'll be with me for the rest of my life. On a brighter note, these guys ROCK. I can't wait for their CD to show up!
Believe it or not, they're not new... They're veterans like DespairsRay or MUCC, but under a different name... They were once known as Transtic Nerve... The band began in 1996 and were signed to hide of X Japan's record label (LEMONed)... They have the same line-up, however, they changed their name 2007 to the Underneath ^_^!!! I love Transtic Nerve!!!
Hey 69eyesjussi! D'espairsRay, The Underneath and MUCC all have albums now available in Hot Topic & FYE. CD's range from $11-$14 (sure beats importing them for $40 an album!) And the Spiral Staircase DVD is $16. Please go buy the merch and show your support for J-Rock in America! And no, the Emo's aren't gunna latch onto it and "ruin" it, their noses are too far up Gerard Way's arse for them to bother trying anything new, lol. ^_^
NirvashFan - I agree, but some prudes in the fandom think that JRock cd's in Hot Topic is bad news, mostly because A: They're horrified by the idea of new fans invading their zOMG SPESHUL underground clique. And B: They're pissed that people are able to get for $14 something that had cost them $40. Originally the steep import price of CD's constricted the JRock fanbase to a small select few who could afford it. Cheaper CD's and Stateside Tours have helped break the Elitist Fan Heirarchy.
Getting new fans... I believe that is the whole reason to selling their music elsewhere than Japan. They want to expand their fanbase. I can't explain how happy I am, now that more and more Jrock bands are releasing albums in the U.S. and not having to pay the imported price just adds to it all.

Thanks NirvashFan, you were probably one of the very FEW who didn't cuss me out and say that Hot Topic would "ruin" J-Rock.

Wouldn't you say it's up to the artist to change..?
