  • DO VEGETABLES HAVE TO BE SUBMERGED UNDER WATER....I was told they do in order to ferment properly

  • Hi Kevin & Anne Marie

It isthe first time making the cultured veggies..thanks for the info. Have a question after the third or so days it is ready to eat...do we store them in the fridge? or only after openned? Thanks Regina

  • @regmas123 Store in the fridge, they can last for months. :)

  • Man this three part episode was great. You booth are doing an awsome job at this thing, keep it coming, your really making a difference, I'm more aware of my food choices and these shows are giving me some good ideas of different things I can add into my families lifestyle. E

  • Maybe the History lessons can be done on a separate video....people don't have enough time... We just want the recipe demonstration. And you can refer to the back story in another video......please

  • I LOVED this!!! This series is very good and I will have my hubby watch it also.

  • This is sooooo helpful

  • "Today" by The Smashing Pumpkins. Great video. :-))

  • I liked the video but did not like the attempt at a new name for it, it is what it is fermented food. I plan on experimenting with beat juice to make the food look really cool!!

  • Thank? I have a question about the benefits of cultured vegetables. I was wondering if they can balance hormones.

  • really enjoyed this... thanks!

  • Yes, and there is no reason to store it for longer we can all just go to the store and buy the ingredients all year round.

If you are growing your own veggies, this is a great way to store them for the winter!

Just make sure the jar is full, and air tight.

IamDemetri00: I usually ferment things until it gets a nice flavour! Some things may be very sour in just 24 hours! Especially if you add already fermented food into it.

You can make apple cider in just a week too :D (with added yeast)

  • Thanks for the 3 part series, so helpful as a newbie to food fermenting. Had a few Q's, when making large batches how to store, in fridge, will they last the month or go bad? Had few questions when done with video, but Im so grateful that you did this series, really made this such an easy way to begin transitioning into new way of eating healthier. Thanks!

  • i've heard that a good batch can be stored for about 8 months in fridge but i don't like eating them/have not eaten them past 4 months out from making a big batch...(6-8 mason jars)

  • @ACEBAKER911 How do you think they kept food "stored" and good for longer than it would take to go off before there was refrigeration? Thousands of years of fermentation techinques, that's how. Also the good bacteria from this process is the very stuff your entire immune system is made from buddy.

  • Can you ferment food without making the food so tiny?

  • Hi Kevin, I'm curious to know if you ate any raw food at the stadium?

  • Like the three parter! I'll be eating more fermented foods, excited to try my hand at making 'em Donna style.

  • We will be eating them regularly, found Donna's Culture Starter at Natural Grocers and made some today, wish I would of had this last video.

  • How long do the cultures veggies last? So, first i wait 1 week to eat them... then do i refridgerate all of the cans? Do i need to eat them within 1 month so that the Probiotics do not die off?

I am a bit confused but thought you could clarify!

    Thanks,

    Kristi

  • As opposed to completely wild, crazy and uncultured vegetables :)?

  • Do you think you could do a video about rejuvalac?

  • Did she say to store it for 1 week? How long do we store it before knowing it is ready to consume and stick in the fridge?
