Second, to people who use the word "noob" so unfairly: you can't compare Lei "noobs" (wich is the MOST complicated character to master, fact, period!) with Alisa "noobs" (which can perform devastating attacks with the simplest button config).
"performing devestating attacks" isn't rly the issue though. The execution of attacks is only hard /matters if it's a multiple input attack that gets better then faster or more precise you input it ( ex. ewgf, DU, lee/law slide, justframes in generall or cancels into mixups) If you are getting beat b a player who just throws out powerfull attacks, you need to practice more. In general, the more dmg the attack does, the less you are gonna be using it in a match.

@Aurumk1 yes, spamming is a contagious issue. That's the worst thing; when I face a spammer, soon or later I found myself performing the same attack once and again. That's no fun, and both of us deserves to bite the dust. But when a rival moves, performs reversals and demonstrates mixed and brave techniques, and leave me room to FIGHT, I don't mind to lose.
After all, it's anly a game. I enjoy controlling Lei.

I like to come up with different combos to do in fights mainly with Xiao and Asuka though. But I also have combos with Lili and Alisa. mashers are easily dealt with once you master side step, also learn to predict your enemy and use your character wisely, here Lei is fighting a long range masher in long range terms, and that's why he gets hurt so much, i'd recommend you close the distance and sidestep-grab her to punish her, then wow her with Lei techniques to let her know you know your stuff, in tekken, most fights are about prediction and intimidation with all characters, then the fun begins
The only thing i don't like with Tekken is those stupid low sweep attacks people use everytime because they get air juggling out of it, launch attack spamming is very annoying too. U can learn as many combos, juggles and attacks u want but still your oppenent can beat u because the other player only need u to do 2 - 3 mistakes and the fight is over

Not a Lei player but i'm pretty sure there were plenty of different ways you coulda put urself up on frames. You didn't take advantage of a lot of mistakes the player made.To be brutally honest, you got beat by a noob cause you played like one
Is it possible. Im not the best tekken player by far. But i have won matches just like that by being patient and looking at the situation. Lots of people have comment here on her opening and it true. Another thing i notice was staying far away didnt work for him at all. Try to stay close for openings, Little tactics like that help you alot. Giving up just because things are not on your favor is never good.

I started to play online when I get the ps 3, after that I have discovered the offline world (where you simply CAN'T win spamming like that) I just understood that Tekken online is simply useless. If you wanna play with a friend for fun it's ok. If you wanna play tekken to compete in tournaments, well, just leave the online. Tekken IS offline. This was the only way to play in Tekken 3, TAG TOURNAMENT and almost the others..

Dude yu could have won easy with combos and some quick moves. And plus yu need to attack after blocking, if possible. I dont find any characters in tekken overpowered. Its either they are or yu just suck.
Theres no problem with any tekken characters exept boss characters, got no clue what u noobs are complaining about, the problem the online is just shit. Even with 4 bars the slightlest lag fucks the entire game over, go play in proper arcades for real experience or with local and switch to cod if ur that gay enough.
@123asian321 yep, for myself up to 1-2 frame delay are playable which is a ping of 10-40 but everything above is completely unplayable. How should you see a 10 frame move and block or evade and counterattack if delay was 5-8 frames. And many characters are overpowered with lag but not offline. Is there a p2p modus in ps3?

The original MVC2 has pretty good netcode as well as the ability to see your opponent's ping rather than arbitrary bars.Or play GGPO on the PC, the actual GGPO is really good and has support for games you probably won't see supported for a long time.

the only issue i have with tekken 6 was the addition of the Bound system. it kind of eliminates the purpose of playing "most" matches. Alisa is the "noob" character, no matter how skilled you "might" be with here, the fact that you could probably win a match with your eyes closed still remains. non the less, the lei player was just off his game in this match. i say "eliminate the bounds" and let the players get back to being skilled!
I'd like to point out that to play Lili as well as i play her, you need some skill. most all of her combos, while they can be strung together to hit really hard, are all easily block-able, slow, and leave you open to counters. Unlike Alisa who just stabs you with chainsaws and throws you over her head over and over again, is super fast, and hits stupidly hard.

Yeah, I don't play online at all, because with all the lag and shit it just sucks. Of course I'd like to play against lot's of players and improve so that I can compete at a tournament someday, but there's not many people who find the game as awesome as I do, unfortunately =/
@assaprince I used to play this game online. I'm sorta good at it, just haven't played 6 since I got so bored and mad at it. With it scenario wise (I hated Tekken Force). I've never had a lagging problem though.
yeah thats one of my biggest points against tekken, some characters just dont need any focus at all especially online, in earlier versions it was eddy and nina where the opponent needs to be overfocused on defense while nina and eddy did not needed to do anything then press 1 button to start fast high loq combinations, they also need to balance characters on their focus level

Its annoying to play as Alisa because everyone has a bad conception of her and the people who play her because of the spammers.
Tekken 6 is the first Tekken game I've played, and I understand that her play style is slightly different than other characters, but I don't see how she's unbalanced or a "bad character."
Like every other character she has her strengths and weaknesses.
I sincerely hate the character of Alisa. In a context such as Tekken, Lars, Lili and Alisa, unreal characters and especially bizarre moves, they are really want to delete. I have a ranking of 85% of victories, with more than a thousand games won, and less than 400 losses, and yet, sometimes I lose with players who use Alisa, Lili and Lars endlessly repeating the same absurd juggle! !
Lol? Alisa isn't a bad character b/c of her moves, Alisa is [thought of as] a bad character b/c of how people use her. I have & battled friends who master several different characters, & the flip kick can easily be CANCELED by knocking her down before her 2nd hit w/someone like Bryan Fury. Lol Being an ex-Alisa user, I focused more on her sample combos and making my own, instead of using that flip combo, & learned her flaws while using her. When i first started watching video, i thought: "great, another guy who thinks he's better eventhough he lost", but I was wrong. They really have to do sth about those cheap characters like Alisa and Lili. The best thing you can do, is treat them with their own medicine, just keep a distance, and just spam sth until they die. A hate letter from them a minute later is priceless.
I've been crying about this for a while now. It's really hard to work on your craft and get better when you go against so many spammers match after match.
The obnoxious thing about spammers is that you can only beat them by mirroring spam tactics. If you are decent and you know how frames and spacing work then it's not to hard, but it is ALWAYS TEDIOUS AND UNFUN. I hope to hell they make a veto system in the next tekken for online play so we can all downvote the asshats and not have to play swarms of spammy scrubs. Not because they can't be beaten, but because it's NOT FUN whether you win or lose.
I have never met an Alisa player that used actual skill. I have never met an Alisa player that was a nice person. I frequently get accused of being cheap when I beat them after they have done the exact same move 30 consecutive times, and they frequently rage quit if they see that their little flip kick spam doesn't work. Get this horrible character the hell out of the game and fire the asshole that thought it would be a good idea to put her in it. While your at it fire Lili's designer too.

Real tekkeners knows Lei players are better than Alisa spammers, no matter of number of wins. Lei is fucking harder to master and has the largest movelist (FACT) of all Tekken, with his positions, stances, shortcuts... Controlling him is like controlling 4 or 5 characters at the time. Can't be compared with the rachitic catalog of butcher combos of Alisa, designed to attract beta-tester's girlfriends. Seriously, which fighting games fan could enjoy fighting with Alisa? @FeliciaTao Again: The LARGEST Movelist (F-A-C-T). Takken Zaibatsu features the entire catalog (the training mode doesn't show you all) and Lei has more lines and commands than anyone else, even Zafina, King, and Hwoarang. Check it out.

Fact: I've know a player in online ranking who owns a 80% with Alisa, (repeat, F-A-C-T !) but however has a rachitiq 40% with Lei.
Also, the problem is that you don't need to be a nobel prize to spam or memorice the "recipe" to cause a serious damage to enemy's bar... but you have to be a medium-high player (to say the least) to evade a neverending spamming chain. Unfair, isn't it?
I think Alisa is just a little too fast and deals quite a damage. Sure she is beatable... i've beaten Alisa players online too and im not really the best King player, but being have to rely on blocking and punishing so much (if you're using a slow character... forget it, your attempt to counter will be countered!) makes matches a little uneven and uninteresting. Im glad im not the only one thinking this way.

If you wanna play with a friend for fun it's ok. If you wanna play tekken to compete in tournaments, well, just leave the online. Tekken IS offline. This was the only way to play in Tekken 3, TAG TOURNAMENT and almost the others..

Theres no problem with any tekken characters exept boss characters, got no clue what u noobs are complaining about, the problem the online is just shit. Even with 4 bars the slightlest lag fucks the entire game over, go play in proper arcades for real experience or with local and switch to cod if ur that gay enough.

@123asian321 yep, for myself up to 1-2 frame delay are playable which is a ping of 10-40 but everything above is completely unplayable. How should you see a 10 frame move and block or evade and counterattack if delay was 5-8 frames. And many characters are overpowered with lag but not offline. Is there a p2p modus in ps3?

The original MVC2 has pretty good netcode as well as the ability to see your opponent's ping rather than arbitrary bars.Or play GGPO on the PC, the actual GGPO is really good and has support for games you probably won't see supported for a long time.

the only issue i have with tekken 6 was the addition of the Bound system. it kind of eliminates the purpose of playing "most" matches. Alisa is the "noob" character, no matter how skilled you "might" be with here, the fact that you could probably win a match with your eyes closed still remains. non the less, the lei player was just off his game in this match. i say "eliminate the bounds" and let the players get back to being skilled!

I'd like to point out that to play Lili as well as i play her, you need some skill. most all of her combos, while they can be strung together to hit really hard, are all easily block-able, slow, and leave you open to counters. Unlike Alisa who just stabs you with chainsaws and throws you over her head over and over again, is super fast, and hits stupidly hard.

yeah thats one of my biggest points against tekken, some characters just dont need any focus at all especially online, in earlier versions it was eddy and nina where the opponent needs to be overfocused on defense while nina and eddy did not needed to do anything then press 1 button to start fast high loq combinations, they also need to balance characters on their focus level

I play Alisa online, I never spam, and I never send a mean message to someone unless they send one to me first.
Its annoying to play as Alisa because everyone has a bad conception of her and the people who play her because of the spammers.
Tekken 6 is the first Tekken game I've played, and I understand that her play style is slightly different than other characters, but I don't see how she's unbalanced or a "bad character."
Like every other character she has her strengths and weaknesses.

I sincerely hate the character of Alisa. In a context such as Tekken, Lars, Lili and Alisa, unreal characters and especially bizarre moves, they are really want to delete. I have a ranking of 85% of victories, with more than a thousand games won, and less than 400 losses, and yet, sometimes I lose with players who use Alisa, Lili and Lars endlessly repeating the same absurd juggle! !

Lol? Alisa isn't a bad character b/c of her moves, Alisa is [thought of as] a bad character b/c of how people use her. I have & battled friends who master several different characters, & the flip kick can easily be CANCELED by knocking her down before her 2nd hit w/someone like Bryan Fury. Lol Being an ex-Alisa user, I focused more on her sample combos and making my own, instead of using that flip combo, & learned her flaws while using her. Don't hate the character, hate the one using it =P

They really have to do sth about those cheap characters like Alisa and Lili. The best thing you can do, is treat them with their own medicine, just keep a distance, and just spam sth until they die. A hate letter from them a minute later is priceless.

The obnoxious thing about spammers is that you can only beat them by mirroring spam tactics. If you are decent and you know how frames and spacing work then it's not to hard, but it is ALWAYS TEDIOUS AND UNFUN. I hope to hell they make a veto system in the next tekken for online play so we can all downvote the asshats and not have to play swarms of spammy scrubs. Not because they can't be beaten, but because it's NOT FUN whether you win or lose.

I have never met an Alisa player that used actual skill. I have never met an Alisa player that was a nice person. I frequently get accused of being cheap when I beat them after they have done the exact same move 30 consecutive times, and they frequently rage quit if they see that their little flip kick spam doesn't work. Get this horrible character the hell out of the game and fire the asshole that thought it would be a good idea to put her in it. While your at it fire Lili's designer too.

Real tekkeners knows Lei players are better than Alisa spammers, no matter of number of wins. Lei is fucking harder to master and has the largest movelist (FACT) of all Tekken, with his positions, stances, shortcuts... Controlling him is like controlling 4 or 5 characters at the time. Can't be compared with the rachitic catalog of butcher combos of Alisa, designed to attract beta-tester's girlfriends. Seriously, which fighting games fan could enjoy fighting with Alisa? I prefer Dr. Boskonovitch!

@FeliciaTao Again: The LARGEST Movelist (F-A-C-T). Takken Zaibatsu features the entire catalog (the training mode doesn't show you all) and Lei has more lines and commands than anyone else, even Zafina, King, and Hwoarang. Check it out.
If a character is harder to master because of bigger movelist that could be questionable, but surely you are not saying tha Alisa is harder to master than Lei, because that's simply not true. And the proof is that Alisa attracts noobs like honey to bees.

Fact: I've know a player in online ranking who owns a 80% with Alisa, (repeat, F-A-C-T !) but however has a rachitiq 40% with Lei.
Also, the problem is that you don't need to be a nobel prize to spam or memorice the "recipe" to cause a serious damage to enemy's bar... but you have to be a medium-high player (to say the least) to evade a neverending spamming chain. Unfair, isn't it?

I think Alisa is just a little too fast and deals quite a damage. Sure she is beatable... i've beaten Alisa players online too and im not really the best King player, but being have to rely on blocking and punishing so much (if you're using a slow character... forget it, your attempt to counter will be countered!) makes matches a little uneven and uninteresting. Im glad im not the only one thinking this way.
