He had his conviction overturned because his lawyer argued that he didn't have a fair trial due to the TV coverage. That was two years after his conviction, it doesn't mean he was not guilty, rather the jury knew damn well that he WAS...I would say that you are being deliberately deceptive who are you trying to con?

Why don't you say'playing on words'again...A conviction is a conviction, it wasn't overturned through any fault of the investigators, the evidence was good and the TV coverage allegedly ruined his chances of a fair trial. All the US knew he was guilty as hell and some smartarse lawyer made sure that justice was not seen to be done, no lies or manipulation there. I deal in facts and know the law....an ex detective buddy...He was without doubt guilty as charged, just not charged with enough.

When that evidence is not the reason for the decision being overturned and that evidence is not disputed, what is that? North was given a 3yr suspended sentence in 1987, fot obsrtuctin congress, destroying evidence and taking illegal gratuities...he didn't get more or convicted of full involvement because the agency destroyed most of the evidence. Can you see Cartel leaders coming to the US and giving evidence,if they didn't get knocked off they would receive 99 yrs each themselves...open your mind. He served his sentence then had it dropped in 91 because TV coverage didn't give a fair trial,what a farce!
