It seems like one of the core breaks is when you jumped off the bridge in the beginning. What exactly did that do, because it seemed to allow you to skip a lot, but I'm unclear how much was that glitch and how much is others.

It's complicated lol. Basically I need to steal Iza's bomb bag because it's the only way to get bombs. Then I need to empty the bomb bag so I can get water bombs out of the bomb chest instead of normal bombs. Then I need to warp out and get the Goron bomb bag, because if I don't then Iza's bag will disappear later and I need bombs on Zant. Then I have to empty the goron bag again so I can get water bombs again. That's the gist of it.

you don't just jump off the cliff, you have to reset the game at the right time. it's a very precise trick.

How do you do that title screen running around with the jump off the bridge and bringing up the item screen, right after glitching through that gate with a big rock brought from the very beginning of the game? (Then picking up Iron Boots! That's amazing...)

You just have to jump into a pit and then reset the game at the right time. It's pretty tricky to pull off, the timing is pretty precise.
