Thank you for your inspirational actions and showing that good can happen in the world. Thank you for giving me something that I want to be a part of and spread throughout my community. Thank you for Peace Day and all it represents. This film and what it documents has touched me deeply and hopefully Peace Day 2010 will be even bigger and have even more people engaged in PEACE.
got shivers throughout the whole movie, I teared at the end. This is one of the most amazing/ Important projects in the history of humans. 1 day of peace is the begging to peace every day. Humans need to see that peace, (even one day) is possible. and... if so, they will know that its possible for more than one day, etc... once humans acknowledge it as a possibility, they will begin to attract it more through their states of mind and the law of attraction. !peace one day!
So,yes,its possible and when known there's no place for violence or agressivity because in that state of new-concsience love,calm and peace are present.Show to the world that there's a really alternative way of life beyond the economic,political,religion and power interest .I applaud you.
Teach them to find themselves,to know how take contact with their own soul now and forever.Tell them is possible feel the love that everything in that world is made of, by listening our souls, meditating,looking at the world beyond the mind, believes and judgements.
THis was one of the most inspiring films I have ever seen. This is my first time posting a comment on YouTube and I'm doing it to say "Jeremy Gilley I salute you". You're such an inspiration. I watched the show on the BBC today in Cambodia and by the end of it I had tears in my eyes. Awesome. Keep fighting!
This day is good in the short term but in the long term it is actually hurting are race. Because we humans are over populating this earth. War is natural to are characteristic it is in are DNA. We humans have war in are blood, it is part of are primitive instinct. With good comes evil.
I've tasted war, injuries and deaths. I've seen the horrors and saddness. Peace is something I wanted to see my entire adult life. I am still suffering from the effects of the battles and still mourning the deaths. This is so far, the best docu I have ever seen. Good job, carry on doing what you need to do.

I'm a New Zealander now living in Israel. I am incredibly frustrated that every young person, boys and girls, must do 2-3 years of army service here. These young people do not want to fight.
Peace Day shows these young people that the rest of the world support peace - that war isn't perpetual. So when they vote for their leaders they know they are not alone in their desire for peace and that vote will make a difference.
In ancient Greece there was a Peace Day and it was called the "olympics" sounds familiar? It wasnt just competition between athletes, war/violence on that day was considered hubris so anyone who made war/violence on that day would supposedly be punished by the Gods. Now that the Olympics are supposed to be universal, why aren't they a Peace Day ? Maybe cause competition sells more than peace...:/

Couple of ppl i know did not watch it because it was 1 hr long...usually ppl dont have that much time in office to watch long vid. If you have small videos like in 10 part with 10 min. each then ppl can watch different parts.

Amazing. Like the one guys said in the film, even if a ceasefire of an entire day doesn't come to pass, he will already have saved thousands of lives all over, that alone is the cornerstone to where this movement is going to lead the next generation into. Peace is a wonderful concept and I wish that death and hate would cease to exist. However, it is an unfortunate truth that no matter what they do, the leaders of these nations can not directly control the actions of individuals indirectly representative of them. If one gun goes off in Palestine, it would reflect poorly on the president of Palestine and the same for the citizens of Israel.

God really uses you, if one man can achieve one day of peace, it makes people think of what can millions of peaple achieve if they do their parts as well.
I am in an American who believes in peace but, most of my money goes to fight two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I am tired of paying for something I fundamentally do not believe in. 43 States in the United States are held up by the war economy. I am not a cynic but, the very structures of our civilization promote war and conflict. As long as taxpayers support war it will continue.
This film shows that you can't just declare "peace". You have to work through the concrete grievances that cause strife. As he discovered when he showed his commercial to the Arab League.
i will pass. what is the point of one day when everyone you loved die? This day is meaning less as long as there are companies that start wars for profit. if i was him i would look for a way to make a human life more valueable then money.
Nobody needs to die by the hands of a soldier. Governments need end the petty bickering between each other for the rest of man kind. Senseless killing needs to stop, you don't fight fire with fire. We must have peace. We are one. Peace.

You cannot have a peace day until you actually go after the people/government(s) supplying weapon/ideologies, and helping to fuel certain aggressions towards certain groups, rather its over oil, land-rights, or child slavery abroad and here in the states. We must stop the war machine and in order to do that you must remove those in power that only think of war.

I agree, it is somewhat sad how this has only 11 comments, and so little views, but perhaps it is not due to a lack of interest, but the fact that it is nearly an hour long. Unfortunately most people aren't willing to spend an hour out of their 24 hour day to watch a youtube video.
Jeremy has definitley proved that a single person can make a huge impact. Just imagine what could happen if a state did the same, an entire country did the same! An entire continent! We can make a difference!
Seriousness is a weird issue. Giving importance to naming a day to remember we need to not kill and cheat each other is nice, however, a comment is nothing on an issue where change comes from the self.

This young man is so far ahead of his time. So many corporations and private individuals make so much money off war, that I seriously doubt that we will ever have peace in the entire world.

Amazing. Like the one guys said in the film, even if a ceasefire of an entire day doesn't come to pass, he will already have saved thousands of lives all over, that alone is the cornerstone to where this movement is going to lead the next generation into. I applaud you Jeremy, one man's vision CAN change the world, it is only a matter of everyone else believing that it is possible.

Awesome film. I am a skeptic, and dont believe that there can ever be world peace. But after watching this video and see it come true for one day.... well, let me just say that this brings a lot of hope. Great effort and marvelous work.

Peace is a wonderful concept and I wish that death and hate would cease to exist. However, it is an unfortunate truth that no matter what they do, the leaders of these nations can not directly control the actions of individuals indirectly representative of them. If one gun goes off in Palestine, it would reflect poorly on the president of Palestine and the same for the citizens of Israel.
People are emotional creatures and often times the easiest emotion to respond to is anger. (cont'd...)

I am in an American who believes in peace but, most of my money goes to fight two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I am tired of paying for something I fundamentally do not believe in. 43 States in the United States are held up by the war economy. I am not a cynic but, the very structures of our civilization promote war and conflict. As long as taxpayers support war it will continue.

This film shows that you can't just declare "peace". You have to work through the concrete grievances that cause strife. As he discovered when he showed his commercial to the Arab League.

You cannot have a peace day until you actually go after the people/government(s) supplying weapon/ideologies, and helping to fuel certain aggressions towards certain groups, rather its over oil, land-rights, or child slavery abroad and here in the states. We must stop the war machine and in order to do that you must remove those in power that only think of war.

I truly wish that i could be a part of this organisation that is working towards the freedom of the people of the world from war and violence of all kind. I think that it's a good move on behalf of all the nations, persons and organisations that are involved and are pushing this worthwile project. today is the 21st of september, the original date for PeaceOneDay. I think this is an amazing project and the amount of effort one man has put in to have one day of peace around the world is amazing.
he has dedicated so any years and its very insperational.
But I think its sad that people can post 10000 comments on comedy videos and not on serious videos such as this.
I just want the director to know that his work is incredible and people out there DO care, and that people are thankful to him.

I agree, it is somewhat sad how this has only 11 comments, and so little views, but perhaps it is not due to a lack of interest, but the fact that it is nearly an hour long. Unfortunately most people aren't willing to spend an hour out of their 24 hour day to watch a youtube video.
Jeremy has definitley proved that a single person can make a huge impact. Just imagine what could happen if a state did the same, an entire country did the same! An entire continent! We can make a difference!

Seriousness is a weird issue. Giving importance to naming a day to remember we need to not kill and cheat each other is nice, however, a comment is nothing on an issue where change comes from the self.

This young man is so far ahead of his time. So many corporations and private individuals make so much money off war, that I seriously doubt that we will ever have peace in the entire world.
