hi you have to get rid of the mk11 steering box as you dont have any clearance with the headers,you need to change the engine cross member to a capri and then fit a rack and pinnion from a capri which is all pretty easy ,and then make some engine mounts.Also you have take out the heater (which sucks in this weather )as that hits the distributor as I have a chevy ,if you use a rover or a 302 which I have in another car you can get away with just doing the engine swap. good luck with your dad
sorry i meant father in law it all depends how ar you want to go as both my cars have 9"back axles and that al takes alot of messing about .Best thing would to see one already done and decide which way you want to go

@mickyreidy This dude has the engine in back to front, on a real ford the distributor goes to the front.

My father inlaw has a 57 mk11 and I've been trying to talk him into a V8 convesion. Did you guys have any trouble doing the swap?
