I was there and honestly it was organized by Ngāti Toa Rangatira (chur chur) but it was organized as a part of an exhibition on Ka Mate, Te Rauparaha and Ngāti Toa which is being held at Te Papa. So what ever.... Its not a competition... Bloody Jaffas!!!

Nice Haka but not a flash mob. People were standing around and knew it was going to happen. Its missing the point and the magic of the element of suprise involved in an unusual event taking place unexpectedly in a normal everyday environment. The Auckland flash mob haka had that magic. I'd like to see this same group perform the haka as an actual flash mob so we can see the reactions from suprised passers by. :)
