that's so true, Phil is this nice and gentle guy, here in Brazil he toke pics with us and we spent long time talking, like a normal guy. But Ray and Robby (I'm a Doors fan since I was 11) he just ignored us and I was so disapointed, now I'm a fan of this fantastic bassman

There is a difference between Phil Chen and other musicians...Asian musicians appreciates their fans and will spend time with them to know them compare to us American "white musicians who thinks they are God's gift and that without me you guys are lost.

That seems to be true from what I experienced. I just saw Riders on the Storm, and Phil came out and took photos and signed autographs with the crowd after the show. But to meet Ray and Robbie you had to pay $200 for a VIP ticket!

He's not all Asian and a high status makes virtually every musician belive that they're above all else. Phil just loves his job and his status doesn't mean much to him so long as he has the opportunity to work with other great musicians.

I jammed with Phil Chen in Bergen last summer. That is one hell of a bass player! Proudest day of my life...

It was after a gig. I met him and some other of the guys from Riders of the Storm in a bar. This bar has a jam every sunday.

Yeah. We were on stage, jamming and he just joined us. Kick ass!! :)

Phil is absoluetly cool. I bumped into him near the concerthall before the concert on July 3rd, he signed some stuff and we took some fotos together. He gave me a pick of his, there was his email adress on it and he said that I should write him and he'd send me some fotos. Well, he really did write back just some days ago and sent a foto from the Budapest concert! Now isn't that cool?!

I actually had the same thing happen...kindof..he gave me a pic and I hung out with him and the guys at their hotel..he gave me his phone number and address and sent me a bunch of things in the mail...he's very nice
