Twin Peaks - Bob behind Laura's bed

Started watching the show a few weeks back and quickly went through them all. I'm 17 and just seeing BOB on screen sends horrible shivers down my face and spine, and that's no exaggeration.

Twin Peaks is a magnificent work of art. It's upsetting to know that because it was far too ahead of its time, people weren't ready to dedicate a specific time slot each week to not just see what happens next, but mull and figure stuff out like they would be today.

I'm definitely in the same boat as most it seems. BOB scared me as a child, and still to this day the idea of him just gives me the creeps. I still believe the one of the most violent scenes is when he killed Maddy Palmer... "It is happening again." Yikes!

Haha, i can't help but laugh here knowing how this was shot. The guy playing BOB was actually hiding there while they were filming a shot of Laura's room (Don't ask me WHY he couldn't think of a better place to hide), and After seeing him in the shot, David Lynch thought it made a cool picture, and decided to use the shot of him.

@dobadobadooo Actually Lynch was looking through the viewfinder and saw him in the frame trying to hide. He suddenly got the idea to shoot it this way and they set up the shot. It's not like this shot just happened randomly.

I think that BOB shot was just a camera setup thing and they liked it. I don't know what the crew member is doing there being all creepy. This was definitely not meant to be used for dramatic purposes! But they wrote the whole annoying mother scene around it (can't stand her screaming.)

I admit BOB was a very unglamorous strange addition to the otherwise finely manicured cast. The women are so striking it is surreal.
