It always sounds a bit off in such a huge place because it takes so long for the sound to get all the way to the back of the crowd (and for their voices to get back to the mics on the stage) that it sounds like they're all off beat, but really it can't be helped. Watch people clap to the beat in a massive crowd some time. You can actuallly see the wave of sound as it washes through the crowd to the back, and it goes a lot slower than you'd think!
