so much has been said already. most of the people's comment here are purely "barking at the wrong tree". maybe it wud hav been wiser that guys shud hav double checked info first before u hav commented on the sangyaw-pintados controversy. its over and done guys. i just say, watch for next year's scenario.its more grand and festive.
more and more activities have been organized because the foundation would like to touch the hearts of all the youths - not just the street children but even for in-school youth.
it so sad therefore that a political gem would just shrink down the foundation's dreams towards the cultural upliftment and its dreams to support the needs not just with these street childen but for the benefit as well of all the youths of Tacloban and eastern visayas as a whole.

and because of political rivalry, (between romualdez and petilla) we have a separate festivals now we have -sangyaw over kasadya-an on the contrary, sangyaw has been celebrated way back in marcos' time in the 70's.

No more Pintados as of this year. That has been the plan since Maten/ToTo Cinco started the Kasadyaan festival. It was to take over pintados festival and the revenue/money generated by the rentals at the plaza. Now Pintados Foundation only has the Miss Pintados to help generate funds for the homeless children they help all year round. And even that is slowly being overmanaged by the Provincial Gov't. Matakaw talaga mga politico. Dami na pera pero hindi pa kuntinto.
