*points and laughs* You failed to stetch your background ALL THE WAY across the page :P If it helps, my background is 1431x2000px. It's also best to use JPEG format because it has the highest compression rate. The background I'm using was originally a PNG I googled. When resized to 1431x2000px it was 3MB. Then after I flattened the image in GIMP and saved it as .JPG it was only 318KB. That means its like, 1/10 of the size it originally was.
