  • Yo no tengo nada en contra del cine comercial, porque al fin y al cabo todo tipo de cine busca hacer dinero.

Quiero ver esta peli, sabés donde puedo conseguirla?? muchas gracias :)

  • Jannik looks like george michael, good movie,I hope the remake with the spider gay actor will be good too

  • Danish people look different from Swedes.

  • what do you think are the mythical qualities that the film make? anyone?

  • I think that this film can be seen as a variation of the biblical story of Cain and Abel or in the mythical foundation of Rome in the story of Romulus and Remus. In both of them there is a conflict between brothers, in which envy is plays an important part, and in the case of Romulus and Remus, politics is also involved. What I just write is a footnote, but actually if you think it closely, it's possible to write a thesis about this film with that subject.

  • excellent!.. thank you for answering to my question. I couldn't think of a myth by the time i was asked for, and you came up with two references. I really appreciate your suggestions. from that on I know I can expand more on the topic.

  • Cool to see Connie Nielsen in a Danish movie :D

  • OMG!!! I want to see this movie so badly. I saw Festen and now I'm in awe of Ulrich thomsen and movies from denmark in general. Thanks.

  • Firstly thank you for posting.

If you really like Danish Cinema and/or Ulrich Thomsen, I advise you the following films:

    Inheritance by Per Fly.

Adam's apples by Anders Thomas Jensen and

    Allegro by Christoffer Boe.

Most of them have English subtitles even if you buy the DVD's in Denmark.

He also appears in Nightwatch (the Danish version not the American remake), but he just plays a small part.

  • I'll definately check those out.

  • Flickering Lights (Blinkende Lygter) is another movie worth watching, starring also Nikolaj Lie Kaas, who played Thomsen´s brother in the movie Brothers.
