@ZakSteel use the poke radar to make a chain with wild gastrodons that way you get your ev's and a possible shiny

gastrodon = 2evs

with PKRS 6x2=12evs per gastrodon ....no duh

Power items give you 4

and pkrs duplicates the Evs

so

Gastrodon gives 2

2x2 = 4 + 4 = 8
