i'm korean, was proud to be korean, long before it was cool...i am now trying to brush up on my spanish, that I have long buried since I was in high school and college. now i love and appreciate spanish, but that doesn't mean i wanna be latino. Latinos appreciate the fact that i speak spanish to them...so koreans and african americans, open your arms to lovely jackie who is trying to speak Korean...her korean is good, it's wonderful, and I'm proud of her.

@MiyaKipp2945 Amazing. My floor mate in my dorm is also black and he knows how to speak Japanese, Korean and Chinese (I am still struggling with Korean and English). He speaks Korean the best and went to study in Korea this year. There are so many black people speaking Korean these days (pinkpuma, this girl, you, my floor mate...) Makes me think blacks must have some natural ability not only with music but with language as well, esp asian ones.
@stabdaback Studies have proven that Black African children have the best memories of all races (remember Black Africans culture didn't have a writing system until about 1500s) so a lot they had to remember especially concerning resources considering Africa's climate. so I am always encouraging Blacks to learn different languages.

Before you complain of "copycats," I just want to gently point out to you that the Korean music industry is being very heavy-handed about taking from Black culture in everything from the way their artists sing to the dance styles. I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing this out so that you can understand why so many black youth are starting to get interested. Seeing so much similarity in another culture is very appealing! :)

@stabdaback Studies have proven that Black African children have the best memories of all races (remember Black Africans culture didn't have a writing system until about 1500s) so a lot they had to remember especially concerning resources considering Africa's climate. so I am always encouraging Blacks to learn different languages.

Before you complain of "copycats," I just want to gently point out to you that the Korean music industry is being very heavy-handed about taking from Black culture in everything from the way their artists sing to the dance styles. I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing this out so that you can understand why so many black youth are starting to get interested. Seeing so much similarity in another culture is very appealing! :)

lol its so funny when i read comments like "black girl speaking korean" or "how did you learn how to speak korean" first ask yourself, how did you learn how to speak English maybe you will stop being amazed! It seems like people only expect blacks to speak English and nothing else... wake up people, anyone can learn a language if they put in the effort. Maybe Jackie6834 is KOREAN!!! @chimmyking Uh I can't agree with you more. I commented a few days ago on another one of Jackie's songs... It's a bit uneducated for some educated people to make such incindiary remarks. I think generally most people think that ONLY black people speak one language. Um, ex. Tyra Banks and Tyrese, both black but mixed. They are both Caribbean Chinese! Shocking right?
