I Love the way that she sings this song. Most people seem to praise the other older versions by the other singers...but this version is perfect for she does not RUSH the song, holds the notes just the right amount of time...she pours heart and soul into each word unlike the others who are almost speaking the lyrics instead. I also love the tone and softness combined with power in her voice at the seamless changes at just the right time.. the best as far as I'm concerned.
Okay, a few things: I LOVE how simply this is sung!!! Soooooo many singers have the tendency to over sing this song, which I feel ruins the tenderness of the message Eponine is trying to portray; secondly, the space in this woman's mouth is remarkable, and creates such a pure, pleasurable-to-the-ear sound; the switch to chest/mix belt at the bridge comes out of nowhere, but adds a dramatic change in feeling that takes listeners by surprise and makes you want to listen to the rest! FANTASTIC work
