I found this bundle with bioshock in a shop... And bought it for 20 bucks :) Getting into oblivion is being a bit hard, but still an awesome game. I'll start playing Bioshock soon too.

@whiteganser im talking about a little device that you can use to take pictures, its called a camera, ever heard of it? in bioshock it can be used to enhance your combat skills, thus making the splicers more easy to fight. But you have to work your way up. Ive played bioshock 1 in hard mode and the splicers get stronger and stronger towards the end of the game, but because I used the camera (jus like anyone who's played the game thoroughly) the fights are really well balanced.
@pulpfictional90 I've beaten Bioshock six times, three times on hard. I think I know about the damn research camera... and I've fully researched every enemy in the game. He's only wondering why certain enemies towards the end of the game get so much harder. It doesn't give you a reason, but instead they simply get more resistant to your gunfire/plasmids. Trust me, if any guy knows about how to play a game right, it's this guy. I think he knows about the camera. Don't think for a second Im a noob

@Olster6991 Basically the only difference is that the PS3 version has exclusive DLC, updated graphics, and a whole new difficulty that's harder then anything else. I went PS3 but it really isn't that much of a game changer either way.
Its not scary....just the most intense first person shooter in a under water city ridden with drug addicted mutants and surreal girls with metal hulks as their companions for safety ever released. Nothing can match BioShock.
no the splicers are stronger in the later stages nitro splicers have more health. you can use tonics and other mmodifications to improve the weapon damage each splicer has a big weakness he probably didn't realize that

This is one of "THE" worst reviews I have ever seen. He touches nothing upon the game's graphics, or it's music. All this guy is doing is ranting on about the mechanics of gameplay, and small plot details.
To the reviewer: There is NOTHING wrong with the combat system in this groundbreaking and awesome game! there are numerous ways to kill an enemy. As far as weapon damage goes, you can take pictures with the camera for damage research, or use weapon upgrade stations, or choose the right ammo in order to take down tougher enemies.
As for the rest of the review: It doesn't seem like you have really PLAYED Bioshock!

One of the best games i've ever played and i i'm only 6 hours in. Trully, trully magnificent. Every bit of it. The wierd thing is looking at the reviews i knew it was good but it didn't seem like my type of game. Then i stole it from walmart (lol) and from the moment i cut it on i loved the graphics,presentation, and story. Rapture has a creepy dreadfull feeling that is contrasted by the left over beauty of what it once was. This game is perfection and i give it a 100/10.
This guy was pretty much spot on. GameTrailers just blindly praised as one of the best games ever, while I personally thought that the weak combat pretty much broke the game for me. The weapons were tedious with the different ammotypes and trying to remember what ammotype caused the most damage to which enemy was also a bitch.. Overall, the game is great, but I'm hoping for huge improvements in BioShock 2.
The music (a close 1% with the voice acting) for me. was the most perfect thing in the game. The violin just topped off the twisted mood in rapture. It brought suspense when needed and really immersed you in game.

people are trying to figure out what made this game so great. i know why. I'm still trying to find out what made the story so great. Its so perfect and interesting that I'm lost for words. The game's story combines the f*cked up nature of A Brave New World and some of the big city feel of that 1920s movie Metropolis. Thats just a summary...
i can sum up whats most awesome in bioshock for me in one word: IMMERSION. when i was playing through i wasnt thinking "i want to beat the game" i was wanting to run around rapture.
the easy was more like a normal in a game except for the big daddies once they come the only thing that really works is either the shotgun or the grenade launcher

actually, when they first were developing the game, they said they wanted to make a game that was the "spiritual successor" of system shock 2. so in other words, they made this game and that game similar on purpose.

One of the best games i've ever played and i i'm only 6 hours in. Trully, trully magnificent. Every bit of it. The wierd thing is looking at the reviews i knew it was good but it didn't seem like my type of game. Then i stole it from walmart (lol) and from the moment i cut it on i loved the graphics,presentation, and story. Rapture has a creepy dreadfull feeling that is contrasted by the left over beauty of what it once was. This game is perfection and i give it a 100/10.

This guy was pretty much spot on. GameTrailers just blindly praised as one of the best games ever, while I personally thought that the weak combat pretty much broke the game for me. The weapons were tedious with the different ammotypes and trying to remember what ammotype caused the most damage to which enemy was also a bitch.. Overall, the game is great, but I'm hoping for huge improvements in BioShock 2.

The music (a close 1% with the voice acting) for me. was the most perfect thing in the game. The violin just topped off the twisted mood in rapture. It brought suspense when needed and really immersed you in game.

@dawnofdoom999 Not sure if your still having your problem but ill comment anyway. If you don't like the ads get ADBLOCK PLUS it's a really cool firefox addon that will kill all the adds. Dont mean to sound like spam but this program has really helped me.

DragKiingX2000: you can buy new powers at a gatherer's garden, and you can swap them as you want at a gene bank. they are two different machines. cheerz!

people are trying to figure out what made this game so great. i know why. EVERYTHING made this game great! the graphics, the environment, the story, voice acting, plasmids, characters, but most of all. because it was a game that was different. this game is the single best game i have ever played because they make the whole experience so interesting and fun, you dont want to stop. 88 out of 10. its worth every penny.

The one thing that pissed me off about this game is that when I got the tapes and I wanted to listen to discover more about the story I couldnt concentrate on what the tape was saying because I was constantly being attacked or spotted by security :(

I'm still trying to find out what made the story so great. Its so perfect and interesting that I'm lost for words. The game's story combines the f*cked up nature of A Brave New World and some of the big city feel of that 1920s movie Metropolis. Thats just a summary...

i can sum up whats most awesome in bioshock for me in one word: IMMERSION. when i was playing through i wasnt thinking "i want to beat the game" i was wanting to run around rapture.

the easy was more like a normal in a game except for the big daddies once they come the only thing that really works is either the shotgun or the grenade launcher

Keep in mind this game was released in 2007 so its not recent enough to charge alot becuase everyone that knew the game was coming and wanted it rlly badly got it in the first few months of the release. Just cus u see a game for less than $40 dosnt mean it sucks.

actually, when they first were developing the game, they said they wanted to make a game that was the "spiritual successor" of system shock 2. so in other words, they made this game and that game similar on purpose.
