  • I didn't know John Terry was a singer in a 80's band!

  • I saw this video abiut 50 times,and still i have one BIG QUESTION...at 2:49 tis lady crying or smiling :-))) ?

  • They're so unique, i love their glamour and their music!!!! You guys rock!!!

  • Can someone send me back to the eighties ?

  • aaah, Kajagoogoo...<3 creative<3<3

  • the best simple of pop,80...in higher state of perfection

  • Very good song, very own style!.:-)

  • In the 80's I was totally crazy about Kajagoogoo...like most of the girls were nuts about Duran Duran.

This used to be my favourite song, I find it to this day even a little bit better than Too Shy...and needless to say 80's had a far more better music industry...I'm glad I was a teenager in the 80's and not nowadays as music nowadays sucks....no good :(

  • No cell phone in this video, other times. So, music was better than now

  • @domaforza1 You're right: No Cell phones in the clip of Kajagoogoo in '83.....but the music is way too cooool!!!

  • try some proper bands from the 80s like crowded house for example, real musicians unlike this lot

  • @chawkill1 you do realize these guys played their own instruments and Nick Beggs is considered a really good bassist by a lot of people right?

  • @paintedship yes he is an amazing Bass Player and singer!

  • @paintedship, yep, I saw Nick Beggs playing with John Paul Jones a while back. Beggs was on stage wearing a kilt and playing a Chapman stick bass. Great show.

  • they was shite then and they still are

  • @chawkill1 kind of guilty pleasure to me, the songs on their first album aren't that bad, catchy I'll give it that- utter ridiculous yes that too

  • @paintedship i didnt know that to be honest, fair enough i suppose , but still think they was weak at the time.....mainly cause there was so many great bands in the 70s and 80s.....if you could compere them to todays bands they would probably be quite good, as at least 80% of music made in last few years is dreadfull

  • Didn't you notice that the man from the hotel could lift Limahl just with one hand? Would Limahl be so light? ;)

  • I love Kajagoogoo. this clip is good. Limahl sings very good. it is one of the best group of the 80's. <3

  • Bloody FANTASTIC,all Kaja fans get in touch via our Youtube address, please!

  • THIS has got to be the worst ugliest video of all time which doesnt make sense cos the song is really cool, I loved it when i was a teen!

Why do we get a shot of Limahl's ass in the middle of the vid? Was the director gay?

  • 1:18 Yo "Christopher Timothy" (All Creatures Great and Small)

  • 0:48 Wauw a mobilephone .-) I just love and miss the eighties!

  • I think that this videoclip was created to make us laugh.

  • I love such rhythms. They make me love dancing by them. :D

  • I got the album 'White Feathers' for my birthday! Good thing my record player is all set!

  • Total crap song.

  • Limahl was so cute back then

  • @eclipsegirl78 And still is!!

  • after too shy, this is a gem !

  • love the verses

  • Great electric melodic art this song has!

    New wave right?;-)

  • Always loved the bass on Kajagoogoo's songs. Big Apple is my favourite, although it's a shame Limahl was fired by the band and he didn't sing on it.

  • PPG Wave, anyone?

  • haha this video is crazy! i love it! : P

  • @embracedandredeemed I think this video shows how great sens of humour do they have in Kajagoogoo. I love it, too. :D

  • Ooh to be ah Vogel

  • Who doesn't love Limahl?! :)

  • Hated these at the time,so naff, the mullet&the God-botherer.I hold my hand up now and shout CLASSIC!

  • wtf

  • @MORPHINGTOON Exactly.

  • love to shy to shy!!!! but my word this is a must! Classic

  • with limahl they sounded more like an r&b group which is great. This song is actually very funky!

  • late great dj/vj kenny everett as yer taxi driver. this is zany and done w/ tongue in cheek, obviously. limahl had a great vox like the rest of that soulful brit clubby 80's sound:b george,andy/ erasure,a moyet, and marc almond lotta soul there in gray old UK.

  • great track!

  • cooool!

  • Gay,,,,straight,,,,,,,why would anyone care? Unless your looking for a date.

  • what is that girl in white? please inform

  • NIck Beggs is a genius!!! hes a fantastically tallented guy, jezz is a wicked drummer as for stuart croxford neale is superb on keyboards and Steve Askew is a wicked lead guitarist .and Limahl ...is Gay ...Trust me! ;)

  • I agree, Mr. Beggs is an extremely talented musician!!! I was in high school when this song came out. I always thought that Kajagoogoo/Kaja should have had much more comercial success here in the US.

  • The bassist is a good artist too! I have a tattoo that was designed by him.

  • THIS IS A GOOD SONG AND I LIKE IT.

  • Pick and choose the things you wear Feel free to look around with no obligation Times have changed so break new ground Feel free and take your time take a little extra time More time with no obligations. Clothes in vogue are all the rage But don't expect too much they can't perform miracles. Head to toe disguised again it's heavy when they say: We don't perform miracles no we don't perform miracles.
  • nick beggs looks look a more upbeat martin gore

  • pretty funny video

  • I'd love to get that same outfit Limahl is wearing! How cool does he look!?

  • Kajagoogoo has got to be the lamest band name I ever heard. There outfits and style look horrible, even if it was the style at the time. Their lyrics are cheesier than a limburger warehouse and there videos are almost painful to watch at times. Everything about them is corny...

...So how can they still be so damn awesome?! They are one of my favorite bands at the moment and I can't stop listening to them. Nick beggs is a great bassist. These guys were underrated big time. I love the music!!

  • @ZappaFan101 Whoooo!!! :) I love you for loving my God-father :D I'll tell him that you love them :)

  • @Rach01Louise

I gotta admit, when I first heard these guys I just seen them as just another new wave band. I didn't pay them any mind until I got into bass playing. After 12 years, I listened to these guys once again and never realized how good a bassist he really was. And then when he replaced Limahl as the lead singer and started playing a chapman stick I realized that he was underrated big time.

Do you think it would be possible to get sheet music for the bass in this tune? Its great!

  • @ZappaFan101 So underrated, but he's in another band atm and is having the time of his life, again haha. Nah but seriously he does appreciate it when people love their music :)

If you haven't found the sheet music yet I'm sure I can talk to him and he could rustle something up, sorry for the late reply btw, I have been away

  • בתור אחד שקוראים לו שי אני דווקא מאוד אוהב את השיר הזה ..

  • Whats Ooh t beee Ahhhh ha ha

  • @MUWgrad2011 Hey!!! You're mean!! The bassist is my God-father. I don't appreciate you being mean about his band.

  • I suddenly feel like jogging....

  • Nice song, funny clip

  • Either way, girls used to flip over these guys and those like them; I think whether they were gay or not were irrelevant in that regard. Glad to know it doesn't matter so much in today's entertainment world...

  • @mongooz24 Lol. They were not gay :L Trust me.

  • this singer takes it up the dirtbox?

  • Much more fun video than their more famous song.

  • rumour has it that the band kicked limahl the lead singer out of the band because he was gay.

  • @nuwavething with Nick Beggs wearing dresses and all these days. I find it kind of strange that he's supposedly not gay.

  • Hey Paintedship,do "wearing dresses n all these days" affect his bass playing?

  • @namniekib whoever said it did to begin with

  • @paintedship Alot of guys cross dress who aren't gay. You don't have to conform to the standards of masculine behavior to be straight. It all comes down to what turns you on. Plus, who cares? Everyone did that in the 80s, gay or straight, not just these guys.

  • @MordaciousFilms so every guy in the 80s wore dresses? Yeah I think makeup, hair etc. are a bit different. Beggs didn't do it back then so it's just a bit weird now. i don't think it's too hard of a thing to find weird but whatever I never said it was a WRONG thing, big difference there. And again the "who cares" argument is just tired considering you guys who say that reply to months old comments.

  • @paintedship Hey, Nick did everything weird back then. He still does now. Well not now now, he's had his long hair chopped off :'(.

He's the best godfather ever :)

  • Figata

  • kenny everett-legend

  • way cool
