Hellsing is a really "cool" anime (even more so than in the manga), but it feels ridiculously overdone sometimes. Not even funnily overdone, but embarrassingly overdone. I'm thinking of the obsession with insane grins mainly. It's infectious at first and has ME grinning, but after a while, I feel like the art style is just repetetive and detracts from the show on a whole, you know? The fights are kinda overdone, too, but I like them a lot more than all the grins.
