  • i have not had any luck with gulp right now i got black with red glitter jumbo leeches and i havn't had any strikes off them, i know it works but just not in my area gonna try gulp at a lake this weekend

  • i love this lure man u can catch a bunch of stuff like crappie, bass, trout, bluegill iv fished this in the ocean before and caught mackerel, bass and some other stuff this is an all around good bait but i use it with a jig head

  • Gotta Love the Berkley Gulp Alive !

  • how do you fish this lure?

  • Nice and slow. We just retrieve it slow and steady with a short jerk every three revolutions of the reel handle while keeping the line tight with no slack. Don't want to give the fish to much time to look at it, the scent leaves a trail and you pretty much want to get them to bite on reaction. Hope this helps Ya' !

  • Very nice video, great tips and a great stringer full of Crappie... I have to admit I'm a little jealous because I've been chasing slabs for a while since I moved back to SE Michigan and haven't had much luck. I was living down in Ohio near Caesar's Creek for a few years and got spoiled by the action down there... since I came back to Michigan... nothing. But now at least I know they're there. Again, Congrats and good luck.

  • Wow..Thanks! Glad you got some tips out of it. We're trying to make some fun as well as informative videos to get more people into the Outdoors. Good Luck to you chasing those slabs.

  • some people say live bait is better and some people say gulp is better. for me, they're a tie, i like them both. at times live bait is better and at times gulp is better

  • Live bait like Crayfish in a river or Suckers for Pike are the better bait . But Gulp minnows and worms are hard to beat when fished right. The leeches work well too! Guess it all depends on the presentation!
