Several small business owners have already threw in the towel and returned to wage earning. In my original post, which you responded to, my point is that it is already a burden for small businesses like sole-proprietors to actually run a biz. Most SP's are working in the field with the employees, in addition, to keeping up with hours, overhead, and material expenses, he has to keep up with tax write-offs such as mileage, EVERY SINGLE DAY. THEN he is responsible for cutting employee taxes. Then he goes home....

Several small business owners have already threw in the towel and returned to wage earning. In my original post, which you responded to, my point is that it is already a burden for small businesses like sole-proprietors to actually run a biz. Most SP's are working in the field with the employees, in addition, to keeping up with hours, overhead, and material expenses, he has to keep up with tax write-offs such as mileage, EVERY SINGLE DAY. THEN he is responsible for cutting employee taxes. Then he goes home....

Now that he is giving twice the estimates and has doubled his operation, guess what he's going to need? EMPLOYEES!

What I see here, and what most disagree with, is that what Rush says is very Patriotic. Now call the police whatever, but I very much believe that there is a right of free speech and using that to the best of your ability is very American. Now on another note I agree. Did the country go into a downturn several years after Carter, if so then it may have been Carters fault because things take time to take effect, or at least thats what all the conservatives are telling me when Bush was president. now they are trying to blame Obama on the economy taking a big turn since he has been in office. But the decisions of the President's that go through may make Obama a failure or a success. I am not going to be optimistic or pessimestic, he could go either way.

He didn't start out in a recession according to many economists a short recession started in 2001 shortly after 911. It caused a major blow to buisness spending so consumers where incouraged to spend and they did. But irresponsibly and lead to credit problems and banks gave out too many loans and this has all landed us where we are now, due to 911 although business spending was slowly decreasing before that, the big change happened then. I kno this is more than needed but I said it anyway.

Remember, while this plane has been in a tailspin for 8 years, no one had criticisms like this for Bush. President Obama has been in office only a few weeks now he's being blamed for the stockmarket. The president "represents" America. The president guides America. He is the commander-in-chief. He is like a pilot and we the passengers to an extent. Imagine you are a passenger a plane and it's nose diving after the previous pilot (Bush) screwed up and has parachuted out to safety and left you there.While the new pilot has taken control saying "we can't pull up frorm this nose dive immediately, give me a moment to change course".Meanwhile this fat drug using millionaire who is on the ground...
