it was just documenting the Indiana Pacers' and Denver Nuggets' trip to Taiwan and China recently, where they played a few exhibition games. The players got to go see places and experience the culture, that's how it's relevant to the NBA.

i never said they were playing chinese teams, they were playing each other in taiwan and china in exhibition games to gain publicity and do something for the NBA fanbase in China. and i think you mean to ask why the economy is drowning if they have all that money instead of vice versa? it's the NBA man, they make lots of money no matter what the economy is like atm. they pretty much do whatever they can/want to do. and pleasing fans in asia is one of them, so that's why they went.
