Miss Shawna Denise Hawk was found at the NW Charlotte apartment on Elon Street on Feb. 19, 1993.

This piece of refuse had the audacity to attend her funeral and to hug her mother. How slick and sinister this evil man can be? That's one disgusting man that should have been executed from the getgo.

Thanks, ShawnaDeniseHawk. The purpose of this video is to remember the beautiful young women taken from this devil of a human being named HW and to make sure the women won't be forgotten. The women tend to be forgotten while the emphasis is always on the evil criminal man. I don't understand why they are keeping him alive. I really don't.

I think we need to start a movement to the NC prison board as to WHY he still alive. Hardworking people just like the ladies killed are the ones who pay taxes to keep up the prisons.I read that it costs @ $30,000 per yr for each inmate.WHY are they keeping him alive? he confessed, there is no question about his guilt.I wish someone knew how 2go about contacting the prison board about this.its a shame these ladies families r actually paying taxes to keep that spawn of Satan alive.ANyone help?

..everybody who lived there was scared but we never suspected it was someone who lived there.when he got caught we were shocked because he seemed normal.this just shows YOU must be More Careful, dont trust anyone. never let anyone in your house if u are alone.u never know a murderer could be living next door smiling in your face when u go to your car.Seriously I hope people will b more careful.they changed the name of the apartments to Sailboat Bay, and refused to tell which apts the killing..

That's just covering up the murders of the two women back in March 1994. The police didn't take the killings seriously until the 8th woman died at the Lake Apartments then. It's only then that were serious about solving the murders and warning women and children to take precautions.

At that time, the eastside wasnt a bad area at all. The Lake Apts were considered really nice. The article blames him smoking crack as a excuse for the murders.there is no relation from the crack to the murders except that he happend to steal a few things for money for crack.but he would have killed them anyway.he was just pure evil.some people are born that way.dont blame being poor or being on drugs for unthinkable acts like this.i vividly remember when this was going on and everybody..

What the media won't say is that the creep had a long criminal record, including murder and that the police didn't give a darn because the women murdered were Black. That's the saddest part of all.

In loving memories of Brandi Henderson and Betty Baucum who were killed on the same day 14 years ago by that madman who is sitting on death row for the next 20 years.

Betty Jean(Susie)Baucum was my cousin.We grew up together, me being 7years older.She was one of the sweetest people I had the honor of knowing.She could make you feel like a million dollars on your worse day.She had the most beautiful smile one that could light up any room.A day does not go by that I don't think of her.Thank you for the video.I am glad to see that they are not forgotten.From my family and I we truly thank you.

This video sparked an interest in knowing more about the case. From what I've read, some of these women's lives could have been saved had the officers connected the dots sooner. The killer had some sort of connection to all of them; they were not random victims.

This is the most moving of all the tributes in memory of the beautiful young women victims of HW. The pictures are very lovely and they haunt me since 1994, when Charlotte police arrested the evil perp.
