Also in the top category were The Daily Show and the Colbert Report. It's kind of sad that satire is, according to Pew, the best news you can watch.

If you read the entire release then you see that it wasn't even about Fox News. only a nonexclusive 47% of the participants said they ever watch Fox. Plus, they were opinion questions like "do you favor the new healthcare legislation?" The fact that polar bear numbers increase in one area due to human activity, does not make their decline in every other place any less serious. They followed to say that the last ten years have had an increase in temperature, but that since 2005 it has gone down.
@opossumgirl13 I am a very friendly individual :). Climate change does not mean that temperatures escalate continually. It means that over time, the average temperature is increasing. As a history major, I do not find this very remarkable because we know that within the last few thousand years climates have changed considerably. In the early Middle Ages, for instance, Europe was much warmer - almost Mediterranean. There will be "blips" in the data; that is the nature of climate science.
@jlandles In truth, there's been a lot of fluctuation. I don't know what it's like in Australia, but there's 17% adjusted un/underemployment in the US, and the reason that so many companies leave is because of such strict regulations. I'm not saying we should be like India, but there's a balance. Moscow doesn't have nearly the regulations we do. Even if America has no carbon output it wouldn't make a difference if others don't do anything, which they won't. They don't care about pollution at all

@jlandles I think we have acted a lot already. The thing that bothers me the most is that the EPA can do whatever they want without having to pass bills. They have no accountability and they all live in an ivory tower, not in the real world. We need jobs, and green energy will lose two private sector jobs for each single job it creates because of increased taxes and less competition. I didn't know that about America having such high emissions, but also we have very little pollution in our water.

I think Fox is a bought and delivered outlet for the Republican Party, and increasingly, Tea Party as well. I'm liberal and hate 95% of what Fox News does. Also in the top category were The Daily Show and the Colbert Report. It's kind of sad that satire is, according to Pew, the best news you can watch.
While talking to Wallace in an interview, Stewart said Fox News viewers are consistently misinformed. He later apologized on his program after reading data himself.

According to University of Maryland research, Fox viewers are more likely to be misinformed by a substantial number of percentage points on rather fundamental issues (i.e. Obama's birthplace \ healthcare reform). Fox's rebuttal was undiluted ad hominem: Fox said University of Maryland have lazy students, ergo the study is unworthy of attention. That, of course, does nothing to prove the study was inaccurate.

If you read the entire release then you see that it wasn't even about Fox News. only a nonexclusive 47% of the participants said they ever watch Fox. Plus, they were opinion questions like "do you favor the new healthcare legislation?" Just because there was a rally on Wall Street doesn't mean we're getting better. We had less growth last quarter than any quarter since the recession hit, and growth has steadily declined. You could say the economy is getting better, or worse. 91% thought that the stimulus lost jobs, which, long term, it did. It hasn't saved any, and it's put uncertainty into the marketplace

The issue I took with the report was that they said that there is no question that Global Warming is fact, healthcare reform will never increase the budget deficit, the economy is definitely getting better, and the stimulus bill was undoubtedly a good thing. The U.N. recently declared them an endangered species, not just in Canada, but also in Russia. The fact that polar bear numbers increase in one area due to human activity, does not make their decline in every other place any less serious. They followed to say that the last ten years have had an increase in temperature, but that since 2005 it has gone down.

@opossumgirl13 I am a very friendly individual :). Climate change does not mean that temperatures escalate continually. It means that over time, the average temperature is increasing. As a history major, I do not find this very remarkable because we know that within the last few thousand years climates have changed considerably. In the early Middle Ages, for instance, Europe was much warmer - almost Mediterranean. There will be "blips" in the data; that is the nature of climate science.

I don't know what it's like in Australia, but there's 17% adjusted un/underemployment in the US, and the reason that so many companies leave is because of such strict regulations. I'm not saying we should be like India, but there's a balance. Moscow doesn't have nearly the regulations we do. Even if America has no carbon output it wouldn't make a difference if others don't do anything, which they won't. They don't care about pollution at all

Because the U.S. is the second largest generator of carbon emissions (18.11%) on the planet, coming in only a few percentage points behind China. India, by comparison, does not produce even one third of U.S. emissions (5.78%). Individual European countries contribute about 1.5% each to global emissions. If the U.S. acted, it would indeed make a difference.

They have no accountability and they all live in an ivory tower, not in the real world. We need jobs, and green energy will lose two private sector jobs for each single job it creates because of increased taxes and less competition. In my country, however, we have experienced three years of bitter politics over climate change. This has culminated in the passage of legislation to tax carbon. She writes well but sometimes can become rather insistent & disheveled when speaking during an impromptu discussion. Comes across as abrasive as well as appearing fanatical in a way that others can exploit. Unfortunately that can result in the mesage being lost upon citizens even though the cause is just and urgent. Lighten up a bit Naomi & anticipate the baiting with some clever retort.

i like Naomi Wolf but obviously she was wrong about Obama. This guy is 1 and the same as the rest of them. He works for the same people. It is only since Obama has become President that I am starting to understand how it all works and what is going on. I think Naomi probably sees things differently as well after 3 year of Obama, at least I hope so.
