Peggy and then husband Dave Barbour first recorded this song in 1944 for Capitol records. My best guess is that this clip dates to 1946 - Peggy would have been 26 years old, which is about right - definitely under 30 here. Such a great and unique talent.

I don't know what your sources are for the 1950 date, but I stand by late 40's. In fact, my hunch was confirmed by the IMDB. Lee and Barbour starred in the short film, Midnight Serenade in 1947, which features this song, among others. She was 27 at the time.

(Of the four songs that Peggy did for that short titled Midnight Serenade, the only one that circulates is "It's a Good Day.")
