Interesting how cinema suppressed the repeated claim by the narrating voice of Nelly in the novel about the gipsy-like features of Heathcliff, which goes far beyond the looks since it caused an almost xenophobic aversion to him in the English gentry all around Wuthering Heights and partly explaining his outcast mentality. But in a movie we want faces good for a close up, don't we? Who wants to think?
Thanks for this! there is some versions on here ive never seen. Is there any chance you could list all the adaptations included?! I'd be so gratefull!
What, the kiss in the snow? That is Allesio Boni and Anita Caprioli in Cime Tempestose,[Stormy Tops] the Italian ver, of 2004. This is almost my favorite version, but I'm really looking forward to the Itv vers. Which apparently will be distributed through the BBC in April.
Cavoli...il libro è bellissimo eppure i film ke hanno fatto mi lasciano perplessa...ma sicuramente il più bel cime tempestose sarebbe quello ke non ci sarà mai, che io mi immagino con heath ledger e keira knightley...
wow this is a beautiful video :) does anyone know where i can buy (if you can even buy it) the 1967 tv series of wuthering heights with ian mcshane? That and the 1962 version with keith michell are the ones im in desperate need of :(
All I can say is WOW. I listened to this song after you sent it to me, and wondered how you streamed everything together, and this FAR surpassed any idea I'd had!! It's really interesting how there are so many parallels in filming style (save for the perspective, as you noted), with these two interpretations. I nearly cried at the part you put in slow motion (right before that infamous *cough*SCONE*cough* part ;D), as that was so beautiful. This is definitely going on my iPod!! <333

yes, it's like remake of 1939. as well as 1970'version with Timothy Dalton, is like remake of Luis Bunuel's WH.
