I have to sleep with my chair facing perfectly forwards, and with my deskfan facing the floor in such a fashion that it makes only a whispering sound - no humming, clicking, rustling or whistling. If I hear any other sounds I cannot sleep. I ripped the gate off its hinges to stop it knocking the wall. The TV must be on but muted.

Suffice to say I usually end up taking amitriptyline to send me off. I wish I could turn my brain down a tad and just not give a toss.
