China could benefit from decentralized education over the internet in infrastructure deficient areas to reduce travel time expenditures by people of developing regions. This process would include wireless data transmission by means of radio waves as well as small antenna recieving stations on top of peoples houses. The costs of computer technology, portable electricity generation and video technology, as well as data transmissions (by compression algorithms) has reduced.
Did anyone stop to think how these "reforms" might in reality affect the farmers of the land? Do you think they are really excited to give their land up for "great business opportunities" in the city? When people have known farming all their lives, how easy a transition will it be to go to the city and immediately find wealth and prosperity? All in the name of economic progress...
This is an important move for China to keep the economic growth going. This policy will not just speed up industrialization and mechanization of agricultural production as small pieces of farmland currently contracted by households could be merged into bigger farms to boost efficiency and productivity, it alos generate the capitals for the original farmers to start the business in the city, increase the income and enable the farmers to become more capable comsumers.
