When I was a gamekeeper I shoot a dog for worrying sheep and yes its legal. It coursed nine of them to abort there lambs. I took the dead dog to the police station as you are supposed to. Not that anyone dose nowadays. It was one of the sadist things I have ever had to do and I would have much rather shot the dogs owner. Dogs in farm land environments need to learn to leve the stock alone. I would not class this as worrying stock. But the farmers I worked for would have gone ape shit over this.
@tina6581 I know exactly what you're saying and you are of course right. Normally the dog would never have bothered anything it couldn't carry in its mouth. I was every bit as shocked as the cows were. Had I thought he would have done this, I woould never have gone anywhere near the cattle in the first place.
You have to watchout you don't get caught by the farmer, if this isn't your land, because the farmer, or owner of the land has the right to shoot, or somehow get rid of the dog, so watch, and btw nice springer:D I have one here who is the coolest ever, ex-police dog, failed his exams.
Erm no, sorry mate. I was trying to catch cattle as they are a wierd breed which are really curious. The dog just decided he didn't like them. As for being a hunter, you're not kidding, he is as bad as a cat but what he brings home is usually a lot bigger! Mike
Mike, what about local union rules, I mean is you r little guy going to run afoul of the local herding dog union rules concerning springers messing around with cows?
No honest, this isn't like him. With him being a hunter, normally he only takes intrest in what he can kill, i.e. rabbits, partridge and so on. If you watch he makes me jump as well, it was the last thing I expected. He is kept well away from sheep though! I mean, have you seen where I live, in Northumberland? I would be run out of town!
I understand your point but here in the US we spaingers get birds and corgi 's and the like mess around with cows how hard is that to understand mate? I would never allow my Muffin to harass a bovine
over here we generally dont use dogs to herd cattle, if we do they are often farm collies. i dont think the dog looks like its herding. and as for harassment, the cows have obviously entered the dogs flight zone. the natural thing to do would be to bark. it seems to me you are just one of those people that only come here to vent built up tension. the dog barked, 2 cows stepped back. big deal. no animal was hurt during the making of this video. get over yourself
@rrrrddddjjjj I think you'll find I was as suprised as the cows were. He usually just leaves them alone. We've moved since then, but we still get hassled by cows, so we go where they're not.

Mine ran into a small herd of Holsteins and the cows all thought he was a calf.
It was truly hilarious. He had about 15 cows all mooing at him and all he could do was look at them and then at me.

It's traditional to shoot the dog but I think I'd shoot the twat filming him.

Springers can be so gay when it comes to things they don't like!
mannism 2 years ago
Male Springer Spaniels can be gay and I mean gay during season, if another dog has the smell of a bitch on him he could embarrass you in a park.
My dog face fucked this other dog in the park just because of a bitches smell.

Mike here in the US you'd run the risk of incarceration for allowing a silly Springer Spaniel
to bark at cows. I mean we have plenty of herding dogs for that. What we need more of is bird dogs!
Now please make arrangements to get your guy here so that we can reorient him. Jeff
