  • Good staff master Norman thanks for sharing. From GHSP in Grand Haven see you around...

  • Great video. I often get bridges on our 100 leg Microchip PIC32. I use a chisel tip and the gel type flux. I am hardly successful. Could it be the flux or tip I'm using?

  • I wish to know what type of flux being used in the video?

    Thanks.

  • some good info there. but like most surface mount soldering examples, the chip is not particularly fine pitched. I'd like to see you do that on an old IC that is being remounted to repair (for example) and arcade PCB. Something like a QFP240 with 0.5mm pitch legs..... using a new IC with 0.8 or 1.27 mm pin spacing is pretty easy :-)

  • How fine of a pitch would you like to see?

  • very good information, thanks!

  • hey question will flux damage any other areas

  • You should always make sure the flux is compatible with parts, and boards before you use it.

  • Thanks for the comments.

  • you are too awesome to be on youtube. Youtube should pay you for being on youtube:)

  • well done - this will be helpful for some people.

  • Very usefull video! I realy appreciate it that you are sharing youre knowledge with us!

  • Now I know how to fix those mistakes without desoldering the whole side and put soldern on top of the remaning old one. Thank you very much!
