I would make a team that sucked for everything but everyone had MAX prestige. I would play against that team only in the league for money. I would also use the team making cheat to make a team with juiced up players. Finding a guy with 90 MAX was the jackpot

for all the years I played this game, I never thought to try that... when I was a kid and needed to earn money I would do the ball inside, strike outside corner of plate repeated over.. yeah it was time consuming.. took way longer than the normal 20 minutes to play a game..

All you have to do is put the other team in as another player, not the computer. Then just bean 14 hitters in a row to get a called game. Collect check

I also had my game glitch and my team had unlimited amounts of money. I never took the cartridge out of the system for fear that it would reset

There is an even better trick. Team A is your team you are trying to power up. Team B should be a created team as well. Fire all the players from team B. Now you can buy the prestige for a low amount of money. Now play Team B in league play against another team to get some money to finish maxing thier prestige. Now play team A against team B in league play. Get loads of cash for beating them.

Lovely ladies is teams racks in the most cash until you can beat the american dreams in versus IIRC.

Why waste your time? I just set up 2 player games with the Lovely Ladies against my team. The Lovely Ladies had the most prestige so they yielded the most money. All you had to do was get 3 quick outs on one side and then, as the lovely ladies, peg 14 batters so that your custom team wins by a quick 10 runs in the 1st inning. It was much much quicker.

if you want to score easy runs against the pc.. just run to second.. as they throw the ball there, run back too first.. then run to second, run back too first.. sometimes it takes a few tries, or it could happen the first time.. the pc will over throw the ball.. it's also happen to me where they threw the ball into the crowd.. been years I played this game.. I miss it..

I figured out all these tricks on my own. Oh by the way, the lovely ladies give you the most money if you play them in a series.

I like this. If you're ok with doing it, use one of YOUR teams, high prestige, and hit players of the team you're trying to build up, and you'll get even more money than doing it with the Lovely Ladies. You can get up to $134,000 a game if players on BOTH teams are 15'ed out in Prestige.

That's ridiculous. Poor AI, they can't help themselves, haha. Good find though.

it's faster to just play a league with two human players using controllers and have one team be the Lovely Ladies and just use either the first or the fifth pitcher (the ones with crazy curve balls) and bean 13 players in a row, repeat for cash, crank up prestige to 15 in all players, repeat.

@ugiswrong only problem with cranking up the prestige on all the characters is that you can't max the rest of their stats.

However pitchers are the best since they have 2 fields for points (hitting and pitching) and prestige carries over for both of them. So max out everything but prestige for the pitching side, Then go to the batting side and max up the prestige. Nice easy way to make the pitcher go from a 60 max points to 75. in one of his categories.

Cool. I turned on my NES a week ago and a glitch team randomly showed up, I had unlimited cash (literallY) and could maximize any player, although it was impossible to do all 15's (the game would lock up because it would give you more points to spend than you had). An easier way to get money is to have 2 players, do a league play, your team vs. lovely ladies. Make the lovely ladies (player 2) keep hitting your guy with the ball until the game can be called and you get 62000 dollars each time. ha

That's a good one. Nice find! Maybe making sure your own Center Fielder has good running and throwing might make sure you get the runner every time. ;-)
