I'm not sure if you were pointing to your wrist, or the arm bones just past your wrist, but if it was the arm bone, you broke your ulna. The one on the other side is called the radius. If you actually broke a bone *in* your wrist... well, there's eight of them in each wrist, but it was probably the trapezium (which is right next to your thumb bone) or the scaphoid (which is right next to the arm bone).

I volunteer at a rehab place, too, and we have a pair of eagles that try to tag team you from both sides when you go in to clean. It's scary, and we use large rakes to try and keep them away, and luckily I have thus far not been attacked. Congrats on surviving one though!
