The story of American independence is a complete pack of lies! American colonialists were getting very low taxes (1 shilling per year as opposed to the English tax of 26 shillings per year) and the tax on Tea was the lowest it had ever been at the time. Plus 1 in 5 American Colonialists were loyalist to the British Empire. And this idea of the British being defeated by a bunch of pitchfork carrying farmers is ludicrous. The British lost for a number of other reasons. Google it.

@YogaNate79 I'm from Philadelphia and the Liberty Bell cracked in 1752 when it was tested on scaffolding in the plaza of Independence Hall and the crack expanded in 1846 which is when the bell couldn't be used anymore and it was taken down in 1852 and replaced with the Centennial Bell. I know you asked this a year ago, but it looks like no one ever answered.
