I really like the sound of this new album too. I gotta be honest and say I never really been into Big D and the Kids Table much as I didn't like their sound. Don't get me wrong, im not some kind of part time ska fan, I am heavily into all era's of the genre. What I like with Big D now is it's something different, the backing singers add a bit more life and add a new dimension. Reminds me of something old school but sounds more grown up than their old stuff.

I really love where BIg D went with this album and this video. Too many people hate it when musicians do what they do best, which is being musicians. No band who is this talented should ever want to limit themselves to one sound over and over again. It takes an amazing group of musicians to make a genre completely there own.

I've always thought Big D had the best music vids because the music accompanied the video perfectly, but in this video they didn't have any significant body language that would've usually made the vid great(watch LAX). Its amazing that they got Dana Colley of Morphine to play on this album. I would love to see them bust out some Morphine tunes at one of their shows. I think Honey White, Mile High, Cure for Pain, Buena, Radar, Thursday and Super Sex would be really awesome up beat songs for them to cover. But one can only hope.

Stricly Rude was a very boring and weird album with the exception of a few songs. It was Big D experimenting with what they could do.

Fluent In Stroll was Big D being themselves and doing whatever the fuck they wanted whether their fans cared or not. Its a much more mature Big D with a big variety of influences. The outcome was great. The greatest ska album of the decade.

The music video is main stream-like because its just the band playing. Big D always had the 'i dont give a shit' look in their music and videos. This video is just random shots of david mcwane and women dancing and singing. I also think mcwane doesnt sing well. His forte was always the half talking half singing thing he does.
