@jcw001 It was when I posted it. Also looks better on my VAIO Blu Ray Laptop using WMP, posting on YT degrades the quality, and when I uploaded it, they weren't using choices of resolution. There is a better upload of same show, albeit with "for promo use only" across the bottom. Hey , "It's only rock n roll". Just wanted to put something in. I have tons, but don't want to violate any copyrights.
im 16 nd ziggy stardust is one of my favourite albums of all time, goes to show how bowies music is timelesss..............DAVID BOWIE IS THE FUCKIN MAN!
Deneveaux called Mr. Bowie as Ziggy "sex personified", and I agree wholeheartedly. Look for the video on here from the Ziggy Stardust concert film where he does Changes and then Space Oddity...the girls in the crowd are weeping with desire. 100 pure, unfiltered, epic win. I'd hit it.
That is Mr. Mick Ronson, 1946-1993. He was also part of Mott the Hoople, though briefly, in late 1974 or early 1975, just before that band effectively dissolved.
Ronson also played guitar on and co-produced (with Bowie) Lou Reed's 'Transformer' album.
He later worked with Elton John's band -- but you are very likely conflating him with John's long-time blond-haired guitarist Davey Johnstone.
See the Wikipedia article and the AllMusic Guide for more on this gracious and talented man.
The "Life On Mars" show sounds awesome, I hope they bring it over here. I can't believe all the comments! I can't take the credit, I just ripped it from another site-forget where. I've seen the whole show from Qeuun Bitch to this. I wish I could go back to 1973. I was 11 and life had promise.
Sorry, you know I meant Queen Bitch. Should always proof read your post before posting. I have mild dyslexia, and I was a telephone operator! LOL! I used help people get through to numbers they were having trouble with. Half the time I miss typed the number....the good old days. Now it's a robot voice.
Yep, agree totally, (what would the parents say?), i felt embarrassment at the time because of his flamboyance and sexuality, but knew he was from another level.... fantastic - always been a fan since around 1970 when my best mate said "Here, listen to this" and then played on his brother's briefcase record player Space Oddity.
do u like life on mars in america to get you up to speed a man who lives in manchester called sam tyler gets hit by a car wakes up 1973 and tries to get home and hes a cop
Don't get what you mean. Life on Mars is not on Ziggy Stardust, a great song though. According to another copy of this performance they did Queen Bitch (another great song) Bowie was on fire at this time.
New York. I've heard of this show from other posters on this site. Are Bowie songs used throughout? Are they the basis for it. I have to research it. Let me know if you have the time. Just click on my user name (jagfug).
no they dont just use bowie songs they use songs from around the time its really funny one line i love is sam tyler says( main character) '' god im so sick of 1973! '' ''dont worry it will be 1974 soon '' said his mate by da way this show aint a musical
jagfug..your right, this was from a popular british
show called , the Old Grey Whistle Test, Queen Bitch was performed as well, and i think he did 'Oh You Pretty Things, on this show at a later date...ah the good old days, like u said, Bowie was 'on fire' in 72,73,74 !! I'm a life-long Bowie fan from Memphis.
Wow, hard to believe someone voted this down...it's so much better than the lip sync, auto tuned crap from today!
