Note the indentations in the concrete wall of the tunnel on the right hand side of the lower deck at 3:49. Those are left over from the days when commuter trains would cross the bridge -- and were there for workers to seek refuge and survive should a train sneak up on them during maintenance.
Thanks for the great video. I live all the way across the country and I've never been to California. I've been following the work on the bridge for a couple months now on the net. I would really like it if you would do more videos as the work on it progresses. Thanks again.
What were those three beeps around 3:40? Do you ever feel bridges and overpasses bouncing or flexing under your rig? The engine is loud. Thanks for the vid.
The "beeps" were my cell phone ringing, my ringtone is a recording of a train bell. If I am stopped I can feel the bridge moving, but not when I am driving.
