well to REALLY start off her romance with any character the easiest way it to give her Andraste's grease after you ask her about Lady Cecile and her mother.

the personal quest can affect how u get with her, if u kill her master i think she wont, but im not sure i let her live, friend told me he couldnt get with her, and if u let her live she will let u once u head back to camp 2 more times i believe, also u dont need to be 100% u just have to have her in love with u which is 90%, also how does this happen, my character(rogue ranger) had to talk to her and say lets go to bed to have the sex scene, how do u get her to talk to u and have it happen?

I did the personal quest, killed her master, got her master's bow, and I still was able to smex Leliana o.o I heard if you give Leliana gifts PRIOR to her personal quest, there's this glitch where you'll just remain a friend to her and not elevate to a romantic relationship.
