The problem was that there were 12 ignorant jury members who did not know the difference in ""reasobable doubt" and unreasonable doubt"" and there is a big difference in the two The fact that she lied and blamed an innocent nanny who she didnt even know..and did not report her child missing for a month proves that she either killed her or was involved in her death in some way. Its the CSI effect. The case is circumstantial, yes. The case also had a body. Many cases have gone to trial without a body, that were circumstantial and yet those people were found guilty of murder.
