McDonald's first "attempt" -- with a .38 revolver his family said he didn't own -- left him legally blind and barely able to walk or use his hands. And yet this wreck of a man somehow managed to buy another weapon (no record of sale), get to a wooded area five miles from his home UNASSISTED, load the gun and blow his brains out.
