Funny, Angels could've drafted either Scott Kazmir or Cole Hamels over this guy. Glad they got him anyway. He might even wind up having the longest career out of the three based on his durability as a starter. Has some of the smoothest pitching mechanics I've seen from a lefty to date...

@TalkLAsports I wouldn't say Kazmir sucks, at least not until the Angels try to reinvent him as a reliever (where I think his ML career truly lies). As a starter, he just flat-out blows. He doesn't sustain a rhythm with his pitching and by the rare chance he does it's only for an inning or two at most. Plus, he has a slider that he hardly ever uses making him a two-pitch pitcher at best. That won't do when you're facing the opposing lineup the second time through the order, lol.
