Southern Gospel Music has suffered a great loss, but Heaven has a wonderful new alto in the choir and one of the best gospel pianists ever to sit on the bench. Eva Mae, you were my musical inspiration, and I became a gospel piano player (and not half bad either) because of God's gift to me, but, YOU were the one that inspired me to want to do it. I love you and I look forward to hearing you sing and play again someday. Mike

convention piano style that continues to

influence many new talented musicians even today! This dear lady has been gifted by her creator and did not let him down in her usage of that gift !!

The title "Living Legend" is used to describe many people, but Eva Mae has TRULY earned and deserves the title and recognition. Now 90 plus years old, she continues to sing the gospel, give her testimony, witness and minister to audiences everywhere. In her day, she was one of the best old time convention style piano players ever to sit on the bench. She was a MAJOR influence, and I learned so much from listening to and watching her play.
