  • This game reminds me so much of my child hood wowwwwww........... I used to play this all the time on nintendos same as donkey kong ..... wow shit made almost cry hahaha

  • best game gor Sega Mega Drive 2

  • I played it in Sega, one my four first games. One of the other three was Sunsetriders. And the other two, I remember one was about fighting. The other was about driving your car across different cities in the US. You had a red convertible and were traveling with a blond woman as passenger. Do you know the name of that game? It was great.

  • This is like the ancestor of Uncharted

  • I want Pitffal remake. But it must remain 2D or it can be 2.5D and not some 3D bullshit.

  • pitfall games rule

  • I used to have this on my computer

  • It's like it's everything developers wanted on the original Pitfall but they didn't have enough hardware power back then..

  • Man its soooo surreal looking back on this stuff for me.Litterally seems like a flashback. It was such a major part of my childhood. Im only 19 but it makes me miss being young if I can say that LOL

  • I still have the Win95-version here at home .. along with Earthworm Jim. They were among the first Windows-only games (read: wouldn't run under pure DOS). Sadly, that's the reason why I can't get them to run under newer Windows-versions. I guess you'd have to emulate Win95 to run those two gems on a modern PC.

  • i fucking love this game.

  • I liked the part when it was like "simon says" , if you got the combination wrong, you got crushed.

Surprisingly there were only two enemy bosses "Freddy- Krueger-Jaguar" and the "stone man".

  • I'd like to share with you all my loyal homage to Pitfall II Lost Caverns by creating a video game inspired in Pitfall II: See my website on my youtube page! for the demo download. You be glad you did. It's free (the demo that is with 4 playable levels!) or watch the video here on youtube by typing on the search field: CLIFFALL ! - freeware Pitfall tribute

  • 1200 is lying

  • Oh my god, this game was fun.

  • This probably inspired that reason movie by Mel Gibson, "Armagedon" was it?

  • this was one of the first games I ever played. I remember beating this when I was like, 4 years old. I just rebought it for SNES, but I orginally had it for Genesis. I was very disappointed though, the SNES version isn't nearly as good as the Genesis. It's more cartoony and the music isn't as good (or the sound effects).

  • You know this game is up for grabs on the wii shop channel if you have one

  • The music in this version of the game is just amazing-- some of the tunes are even better than the CD version, IMO. Matt Furniss is a chiptune legend.

  • I'm sooo happy it's finally out on the wii! :D love this game!

  • Just went to a retro games store in Raleigh today and got several SNES and Gen games and I got this one it's pretty cool.

  • i remember when i was younger, i used to love this game so much. now it's probably too old to run on my computer.

  • this came is awesome

  • I just ordered this game on ebay...waiting for it to come any day!

  • Did ya get it yet?

  • I had this game!!! and I used to loove it!!, but I don't know where it is now, 'cause I borrowed to my "friend" and she never gave it me back... sooo. well I wish I could download this game, free!! but I don't know where to find it... I almost win this!!

  • try an emulator and look for a ROM for it, that could work. well thats what im about to do =D

  • ^^ ok thank you!! I'll try =)

  • if u have a wii, u can buy it for 800 points on the virtual console

  • Yeah, it is up on the Virtual Console! :) Plus you can play Atari 2600 through this game, here's code: waiting for the title screen, press A for 26 times, you will have play Pitfall in Atari 2600.

  • is his dad sposed to be indy?

  • what about the suff above you at the end of the 3rd level(the mine)...theres a heart and an exploding barrel...

  • those scorpions are AWESOME.

  • this is more difficult on snes, and you don't have a percentage in the boss fights.

but sprites are better here :)

  • Anyone have it for DOS, and wouldn't mind sending it to me?

  • thanks for the video. i remember skipping the boss fight against the two jaguars on that temple level(4th level?). i got the chili near the boss fight and then when into the boss fight. i easily jumped unto the ledge where the exit door is without fighting them.. the level was done.

  • I think it's only possible on the SNES version. I also did a video with it. 3rd boss can also be skipped on snes by jumping quickly until the tongue

  • that's impossible because you have to defeat them top open the door

  • i remember doing it accidently. perhaps the boss fight never triggered. it all happened very fast

  • ok, I now posted a video response showing the boss triggering bugs in SNES version ;)

  • the background music on the pc game is way much better than in sega

I remember when me and my father used to play this game, we coldn't find all those PITFALL letters

  • this is like an earlier version?

  • holy shit these guys at activision or whatever made me spend like 2 days finding the letters of PITFALL only to laugh at me at the very fucking end lame...

  • Haha omg I love this game. I used to play it on the PC when I was little. It took me a while to beat the jaguar and I could never get past the mine carts all rolling at the end of the mine level. Gooood times.

  • yeah same here! i always played it wheb i was little and now im like how the heck did you dodge those mine carts? it would take me forever to beat the level. :]

  • I thought Pitfall was dead after the atrocious NES '87 version. But this was good in '94. I don't know if the PS1 versions were good, though. Hope Pitfall makes a strong comeback one day.

  • nice 1

  • but the game does look pretty good.

  • Really nice, It remembers me my childhood. This is the 1994 version though, the one I had was on 1984 or '85. The sounds and the music are a little bit more different. Do you know a place I could find the original '84 version of this game for free download to PC?

  • i remember these levels the one witht eh two jaguars was always hard for me and my cousin but we could own it now if we had it

  • true,

Released in 1994 for the SNES and Sega Mega-CD. In 1995 was also ported to the Sega Genesis, Sega 32X, Atari Jaguar and PC. In 2001 was ported to Game Boy Advance.
