My current QB rankings: 1. Andrew Luck, 2. Ryan Mallett 3. Blaine Gabbert 4. Jake Locker 5. Cam Newton (though I fully expect Newton to be the 2nd QB off the board).
Luck is number one, mallet is second, jake locker is third, ponder will be late second rounder, after his elbow got messed up his season went to the dumps.
Christian Ponder reminds me of Gino Toretta from the Canes and he won't even be drafter, but the kicker was Jerrod whatever from TEXAS A&M...ummmm, where's Cam Newton????????
lol anyone with locker at #1 is a joke..idc when this was done people, you should've realized how overrated he was last year. luck mallett and newton are the top 3
This is so awful.. Luck is getting drafted number one.. You obviously dont know what your talking about.. He is a franchise QB, no one will pass that up..
@XxF4LLEN4NGELxX Watch the beginning of the video. This was before the current season, yes, Luck is the #1 pick IF he declares, which is seeming more and more unlikely at the moment.
@XxF4LLEN4NGELxX hey dumbass this video was posted july 7th. he says in the video he is going to make a top 5 in 5 before and after the season to see what changes take place. somebody wants to butt fuck Luck!
@Lugarfucklesrusses This was made before the season, but Locker was exposed in 2009 as not a very good thrower. Almost everybody who paid any attention to the PAC Ten in 2009 already new Luck was a better talent than Locker last year, and was as a freshman a more polished QB than Locker.
@XxF4LLEN4NGELxX You obviously dont know this was before the season started...not alot of people thought luck would be an..."obviously"...number one pick on July 7th
Ok why is everyone accusing Locker that he's not gonna do good in the pros next year? I mean come on he has not in the pros yet we'll see what happen!
for fans that have had a decent team such as vikings, redskins, and eagles. you guys chose to get a qb via free agency. panthers on the other hand are working with drafted talent. the panthers deserve luck and out of no suprise they will get him. jim harbaugh might head out to carolina if finds out that lukc will enter if he coaches in carolina type deal.
this guy is a fucking idiot jake locker hasnt been the #1 qb prospect since last year, and jerrod johnson? wheres cam newton and christian ponder might be in the top 10. get serious dude
god you idiots, luck is going #1 in the draft, he's being called the best quarterback prospect since john elway. if he doesnt get chosen #1 someones getting fired. does someone actually think that jimmy clausen is the future in carolina? HELL NAH
funny you mention the qbs having to have a great final season, Jake Locker didnt, but i still think he'll be a first round pick(most likely the Vikings will get him), with Farve most likely retiring after this season, they need him

He is clearly not ready for the NFL. Ponder has an NFL game, but has injury issues. Mallett is huge and has a big time arm. He has accuracy issues as well.
@mahad2108 Why would detroit waste a pick on a quarterback? They clearly have enough confidence in Stafford as he has shown everyone he is capable of being a starting NFL quarterback. They will more than likely focus on defense and watch their young offense mature.
My 49ers will need to draft a QB next year, but our pass defense is bad. A.Luck might go #1, so who do the 49ers draft between P.Peterson and the next best QB prospect in the top 10 picks. Luck is as good of a prospect that a college QB can be. He has the size, the athleticism, the mechanics, the knowledge of the pro style offense, and the leadership.
I can see why you put Locker at number 1 ,that was July 7 2010 at that time I'd agree Locker would go Number 1 ,but now to the current time i have to say Luck will be number 1 qb in the draft
@gsh915 Luck has definitely hit #1 at this point. Thus my caveat at the beginning of the video! Plenty always changes. Jerrod Johnson, now undraftable as well.
@v1kingfan intangibles are just a load of bullshit when it comes to the nfl. people who say "this guy has the pride and the focus" thats a load of crap. the nfl is about sheer athleticism and a knowledge of the game.
@TheP1414 Only thing in question about Ponder is his durability. v1kingfan is right, he has everything the NFL is looking for and more, watch Christian play and then watch Andrew Luck, they are nearly the same exact QB. Christian Ponder just needs to learn to slide and get out of bounds more
@dtab321 Cam Newton is a bigger, stronger , faster version of Tim Tebow, minus prob the leadership. Mel Kiper as already said he is around the number 15 pick on big board/ mock draft board.
Luck might be number 1 QB. But not sure about number 1 overall. Denard Robinson is a soph so take him off your list @cmurphtheman Case Keenum is defenitely another Graham Harrell. I say that in the sense of Undersized, Cant take a snap from center, Can't pull a play action roll out. Terrelle Pryor is an awsome ncaa QB, but could fall into same category as Vince Young, which is better than the Troy Smith you all thought was a NFL QB. Me personally would draft Ryan Mallet regardless of my pick #.
this is retarded.... where's kellen Moore, Pryor, keenum and Denard robinson? Luck is def #1 right now. Jerrod johnson is barely in the top 10 my friend and ponder has def dropped off the map as to being a top 10.,,, he's a late rounder.
i would easily take Andy Dalton, Yates out of UNC, or Jacori Harris over him.

Bad list, Luck is 1, Mallet is 2. As i called it since JULY 8 in my video. Don't jump on the band wagon when the draft comes around and hes the number 1 pick.
@cal31BRIAN23 Luck is likely to go ahead of Locker in April, but I stick to my rankings. Locker will be a better pro. Luck floats too many balls for my tastes, still a work in progress. Locker has some refinement and decision making tweaks, but love his physical tools.
@TheP1414 Ehh I've watched Luck quite a lot, and the balls he floats aren't necessarily always bad. Though you'd like some of those passes to have more zip, which we know he's capable of, I believe the receivers' routes had a small part to play with his balls floating. And plus, USC has had a great number of standout defensive players making huge impacts in the NFL the last few years. His performance in those highlights show alot!
@cal31BRIAN23 yeah people keep overlooking him cause of the other qb's in the draft but no doubt he is the best one if he decides he is rdy but if i was him i'd wait it another year and no rush into it like that jets qb :P
@nyphix4321 Your right but hes a 2 year starter, Sanchez was only a starter for one year. I thinks hes the only franchise Qb in the draft. Whats your take on Mallet? i think hes ok, but because of his in mobility he won't make it in the league.
@StayedReady haha samee here..however it's unlikely we'll see him there anytime soon, but Alex Smith is pretty solid, he's got almost everything except the decision making part.
First off Jake Locker doesn't have the strongest arm. Thats clearly Mallett but for this guy to say Lockers arm strength isnt elite is fucking retarded. Arm strength is not Lockers problem at all!!!!
I noticed you don't have any QB's from non BCS schools. I know it's hard to see these guys given they are not on tv but is there any QB out there I should be aware of that is from a lower division school?
My favorite NFL team is the San Francisco 49ers if Alex Smith isn't impressive if I was the 49ers I would either take Christian Ponder or Greg McElroy.
WAIT! Did I hear you say Locker doesn't have elite arm-strength???? WOW OK. I love the fact that you rate him number one but just to let you know he has a CANNON. He DOES have elite arm-strength
Are you f$cking serious? Jake Locker isn't as good of a pro-NFL QB as people think. Mallett's inconsistent accuracy and bad decision are terrible. Andrew Luck's size, accuracy, arm-strength, decision making made him ideal for the NFL. He has great upside too when considered that he only started one year and has time to grow.
Perfect list, and great job. You got i right. I don't buy into Luck like others, but if I would make any change, I particularlly would put Mallet at #1, and Locker at #2.
i like this list of qb's i think i would have johnson in front of ponder but at least you recognized him at all and i think johnson throws a good deep ball, but you are right about him being extremely underrated the guy had monster stats. : 3,579 passing yards 30 td's and only 8 picks.
1. Locker; 2. Mallett; and 3. Luck. I think Andrew's a bit more polished than the other two. However, Jake's got potential, this is his yr to prove. He's a runner. Ryan needs to show his foot has healed. Has a canon for an arm. But is more of a pocket passer. I'll get a lot of flak for saying this, but black college QB's tend to do poorly learning NFL offenses. JaMarcus is one costly example of that. Size matters, and intelligence is a premium. I think that's why Jake is so highly coveted.
@cal31BRIAN23 Awesome track "The Prayer". You make a good pt. Jake hasn't impressed with Washington. You know tho, I have a small part in my heart for Tebow, too. A good christian soldier, whose mother decided to carry with the delivery in the Philippines. If she aborted. we wouldn't have been able to watch the greatest college quarterback of all time. I wish him success in Denver. Hoped to god, he recovered from his concussion.
@dvsxavier wow that was an extremely racist and innacurate comment. you dont even have a legitamate example. Jemarcus Russel is an example of some one who didnt even try he had a horrible work ethic and was just satisfied with his money. wich was extremely selfish. there are tons and tons and tons of white qb's that couldnt pick up an NFL offense just like there are blacks that couldnt. im saying it has nothing to do with skin color at all when it comes to learning and picking up an NFL offense.
When i saw Stanford play Washington at our house, nothing about locker impressed me, I didn't even know him on the field because he didn't have any impact. Luck is a lot better than all three ahead of him.
@rc49ers53 He had less impact than Luck's 103 yards passing and 0 TDs? I like both players. Both need to show more consistency for sure. We know Locker has the physical talent, the question of whether the inconsistency is his own or the team around him is apt. Luck is still very raw, and needs a full healthy season before I buy the complete hype.
@EpicFailBoy Your Youtube name really describes what you said on Ponder. Ponder has a 3.7 GPA..already graduated forever ago, can scramble like Steve Smith could, he can throw well through traffic..btw Montana never had a strong arm. But I think Ponder actually has a decent arm. Peyton's smart as hell, and runs his own plays. Watch Ponder do the same in the pros. Luck goes to Stanford, a prestigious school, but I still don't like him over Ponder..Ponder will do better this year, and in the pros
@Jagnole101 Ryan fitzpatrick went to Harvard and he's not doing to well. Just because they are good in school doesn't mean they are a good QB. He's fast but he isn't as fast as Locker. Just because you can find one or two great QBs without strong arms doesn't mean that arm strength doesn't matter.
@EpicFailBoy If FSU's defense allowed less points, Ponder would be #1 in your eyes. Fsu wasn't as good because of that. If the defense did there part, Ponder could have run up the score a little more. Locker is good, but I'm not buying into the hype just yet.
Wish Michigan could've ended up getting Les Miles and keeping Mallett. Think it's needless to say Rich Rod has had the Millen effect at the Big House.

@v1kingfan u can have ponder if u want him...

and now we have the soup du jour.. cameron newton.. another name to throw in the mix.. is he eligible this season?
Bubulah4Ever 1 year ago
@Bubulah4Ever Lol, Cam isn't going to the NFL, hes not that good, he has the strength to run over small crappy defenses, but thats about it.
dtab321 1 year ago
@dtab321 Cam Newton is a bigger, stronger , faster version of Tim Tebow, minus prob the leadership. Mel Kiper as already said he is around the number 15 pick on big board/ mock draft board.
cal31BRIAN23 1 year ago
@dtab321 well.. you showed me.... he only was drafted number one overall.. roflmbao..

Luck is by far the best QB of the bunch. Locker is #2 or #3.
jmmgarza 1 year ago
andrew luck is number 1 then ryan mallet then locker and moore
thug8200 1 year ago
How is Ponder's arm below average? He is strong, accurate and throws a bb when he needs to.
AMorrell14 1 year ago

Don't jump on the band wagon when the draft comes around and hes the number 1 pick.
cal31BRIAN23 1 year ago
My list.
1. Jake Locker
2. Kellen Moore
3. Andrew Luck
4. Nick Montanta
5. Jake Heaps.
larsonjosh5 1 year ago
@larsonjosh5 You have no clue lol. CLUELESS. Luck is by far the best QB! PERIOD. Do you even watch football man? serious question.
cal31BRIAN23 1 year ago 15
@cal31BRIAN23 Luck is likely to go ahead of Locker in April, but I stick to my rankings. Locker will be a better pro. Luck floats too many balls for my tastes, still a work in progress. Locker has some refinement and decision making tweaks, but love his physical tools.
TheP1414 1 year ago
@TheP1414 Ehh I've watched Luck quite a lot, and the balls he floats aren't necessarily always bad. Though you'd like some of those passes to have more zip, which we know he's capable of, I believe the receivers' routes had a small part to play with his balls floating. And plus, USC has had a great number of standout defensive players making huge impacts in the NFL the last few years. His performance in those highlights show alot!

@cal31BRIAN23 yeah people keep overlooking him cause of the other qb's in the draft but no doubt he is the best one if he decides he is rdy but if i was him i'd wait it another year and no rush into it like that jets qb :P
nyphix4321 1 year ago
@nyphix4321 Your right but hes a 2 year starter, Sanchez was only a starter for one year. I thinks hes the only franchise Qb in the draft. Whats your take on Mallet? i think hes ok, but because of his in mobility he won't make it in the league.

Andrew Luck should be number 1. Whole package, run and throw. Id like to see him in a niners jersey.
StayedReady 1 year ago
@StayedReady haha samee here..however it's unlikely we'll see him there anytime soon, but Alex Smith is pretty solid, he's got almost everything except the decision making part.
xxNELLABOYZxx 1 year ago
First off Jake Locker doesn't have the strongest arm. Thats clearly Mallett but for this guy to say Lockers arm strength isnt elite is fucking retarded. Arm strength is not Lockers problem at all!!!!
mrmagic221 1 year ago
I noticed you don't have any QB's from non BCS schools. I know it's hard to see these guys given they are not on tv but is there any QB out there I should be aware of that is from a lower division school?
6381Javier 1 year ago
@6381Javier Pat Devlin from Delaware is the big FCS name this year. Also be aware of Nathan Enderle from Idaho for a non-BCS conference QB.
TheP1414 1 year ago
fuck you locker has the best arm strength out of any qaurterback in this video dumbass
amluerxray7 1 year ago
My favorite NFL team is the San Francisco 49ers if Alex Smith isn't impressive if I was the 49ers I would either take Christian Ponder or Greg McElroy.

I really like Ponder from the 2011 class
MockDraftHQ 1 year ago
WAIT! Did I hear you say Locker doesn't have elite arm-strength???? WOW OK. I love the fact that you rate him number one but just to let you know he has a CANNON. He DOES have elite arm-strength
tukwila206 1 year ago
Are you f$cking serious? Jake Locker isn't as good of a pro-NFL QB as people think. Mallett's inconsistent accuracy and bad decision are terrible. Andrew Luck's size, accuracy, arm-strength, decision making made him ideal for the NFL. He has great upside too when considered that he only started one year and has time to grow.

Draftday101 1 year ago
i like this list of qb's i think i would have johnson in front of ponder but at least you recognized him at all and i think johnson throws a good deep ball, but you are right about him being extremely underrated the guy had monster stats. : 3,579 passing yards 30 td's and only 8 picks.
footba11fan41ife 1 year ago
1. I think that's why Jake is so highly coveted.
dvsxavier 1 year ago
@dvsxavier Check my video of the top Qbs. Very similar to your list. Feel luck is the best.
cal31BRIAN23 1 year ago
@cal31BRIAN23 Awesome track "The Prayer". You make a good pt. Jake hasn't impressed with Washington. You know tho, I have a small part in my heart for Tebow, too. A good christian soldier, whose mother decided to carry with the delivery in the Philippines. If she aborted. we wouldn't have been able to watch the greatest college quarterback of all time. I wish him success in Denver. Hoped to god, he recovered from his concussion.
dvsxavier 1 year ago
@dvsxavier wow that was an extremely racist and innacurate comment. you dont even have a legitamate example. Jemarcus Russel is an example of some one who didnt even try he had a horrible work ethic and was just satisfied with his money. wich was extremely selfish. there are tons and tons and tons of white qb's that couldnt pick up an NFL offense just like there are blacks that couldnt. im saying it has nothing to do with skin color at all when it comes to learning and picking up an NFL offense.
footba11fan41ife 1 year ago
@footba11fan41ife tell that to Al Davis and his Oakland Raiders.
dvsxavier 1 year ago
When i saw Stanford play Washington at our house, nothing about locker impressed me, I didn't even know him on the field because he didn't have any impact. Luck is a lot better than all three ahead of him.
rc49ers53 1 year ago
@rc49ers53 He had less impact than Luck's 103 yards passing and 0 TDs? I like both players. Both need to show more consistency for sure. We know Locker has the physical talent, the question of whether the inconsistency is his own or the team around him is apt. Luck is still very raw, and needs a full healthy season before I buy the complete hype.

Gabbert is a good up-and-comer, so is Pat Devlin.

Texas A and M runs a lot of pro style sets so I'm not sure if its fair to compare JJ to other spread QBs.
EpicFailBoy 1 year ago
I personally think Luck is the best. I don't like Stanford but he just really seems to have the potential to be insane.
Locker isn't consistent enough for me, and Mallet might be the next Jamarcus (same type of player, plus drug issues)
Ponder just has never really excited me. He isn't consistent and doesn't have that good of an arm.
I like JJ because he really improved last year and he could really have a good year. He could be a Vince Young type player just a little bit slower
EpicFailBoy 1 year ago
@EpicFailBoy Your Youtube name really describes what you said on Ponder. Ponder has a 3.7 GPA..already graduated forever ago, can scramble like Steve Smith could, he can throw well through traffic..btw Montana never had a strong arm. But I think Ponder actually has a decent arm. Peyton's smart as hell, and runs his own plays. Watch Ponder do the same in the pros. Luck goes to Stanford, a prestigious school, but I still don't like him over Ponder..Ponder will do better this year, and in the pros
Jagnole101 1 year ago
@Jagnole101 Ryan fitzpatrick went to Harvard and he's not doing to well. Just because they are good in school doesn't mean they are a good QB. He's fast but he isn't as fast as Locker. Just because you can find one or two great QBs without strong arms doesn't mean that arm strength doesn't matter.
EpicFailBoy 1 year ago
@EpicFailBoy If FSU's defense allowed less points, Ponder would be #1 in your eyes. Fsu wasn't as good because of that. If the defense did there part, Ponder could have run up the score a little more. Locker is good, but I'm not buying into the hype just yet.
Jagnole101 1 year ago
Wish Michigan could've ended up getting Les Miles and keeping Mallett. Think it's needless to say Rich Rod has had the Millen effect at the Big House.
