great job! it's not often that i see irish music being played on the piano, i might try this out, simple vamping on the left hand, but simple is great, love the flowing feel of it
I think that this is a very enjoyable and articulate performance- have to hand to to you, well done!
Do you happen to know where I could get this sheet music as I'm having a lot of difficulty finding a hands-together arrangement and I really would love to learn the Belfast Hornpipe!....?
Can't help you with the sheet music I'm afraid. I got to know the tune years ago by ear, then worked it up into something half reasonable on the piano. Glad you like it.
That'd be great thanks. It's really that I need some left-handed accompaniment as well as the tune because I was hoping to play it for a performance and I can't play the tune with just the right hand :P
NICE! How did i miss this one? Thought it was about time for a new video from you, so decided to drop by and check... And sure enough! Great job as usual! :o)
Thanks for the favourable and encouraging comments, but I think you're inclined to give ratings which are too generous. For instance the present offering doesn't quite measure up in that I wasn't quite able to achieve normal hornpipe tempo (MM 84 apparently).
very nicely played

what shirt are you wearing? Is that a football jersey? If it is, you're as cool as can be.

great playing. I enjoyed it heaps, its a change from the usual old screaching violin solos. Can you please tell me the name of the tune.

Probably might be able to help you with that sheet... send me a message if you are interested.
I have good memories about this melody. I once played it on a flute (blockföte). Very tricky one :)

Don't be so humble! I think it's VERY nice as well. I had never seen a hornpipe played like this on piano!! Good work!

You've no need to be humble either. You've already five decent videos to your credit. I particularly like your Tam Lin one (The Glasgow Reel).
