my grandma has a farfisa caroline deluxe but the vibrato on her organ doesn't work and so does the reverb you can only turn the reverb on or off :D and the vibrato is always off =( sadly however it stood for about 15 years and then she let it repair but doesn't play much on it I think it's really dusty from the inside
Nice demo Kirk. I have one and I added another alternative set of 12 tuning pots for microtunal ( quarter tone scale ) suitable for Middle Eastern music. Can send you the photos. Why is your beautiful site down ?
i used to have two of these until they fell apart from ten years of tours..... sly stone was the master of this machine too...............

That`s great organplayer, but Farfisa sound never comes to be good. Italian crap.

This exact model was also used by Van Der Graff Generator (like on their 1971 "Pawn Hearts" album) by their organist Hugh Banton

Pretty dope! I also liked the music after the demo during the blue screen with credits (not the stuff at the tail-end with the photographs) ;)

I think this is what Sly Stone played at his performance at woodstock.

Are you running it through a leslie?
Relaxtheband 4 years ago 3
Yes. It is using a Fender Bassman Tube amp (1972) and a leslie cabinett with bass rotor and horns.

Are Farfisas still being manufactured?

The plastic cover was originally off-white. However, depending on exposure to light, and 35 years, it will start turning yellow.

The Farfisa Professional weighs about 75 lbs all by itself. With case/cover and pedal, it is probably about 90 lbs.
ktopits 4 years ago
How much does that thing weigh? I'm thinking of getting one myself.

Actually, what does it sound like when you just apply it to one voice section? Is it any better?
IntroducingLeo 4 years ago
Yes, I worked on the vibrato for quite a while and gave up. Using a leslie is the real answer.
ktopits 4 years ago
Cool demo. Loving the Leslie!
Can't get the vibrato to work on mine and this is the first time I've heard it in action properly...it isn't much to write home about really is it?
