Islam says Jesus is true but rejects Jesus' teachings. That's contradictory.

Just to enlighten you about the questions you have asked. In Islam, Jesus named as Isa (Arabic: عيسى‎ ʿĪsā) is considered to be a Messenger of God, not the son of God. He was not crucified but instead, he was raised up by God unto the heavens and will return to earth near the day of judgment to restore justice and to defeat Dajjal.

Islam does not reject Jesus' teachings, but Islam rejects Christian's views (no offence intended) that Jesus was God incarnate or the son of God, that he was ever crucified or resurrected, or that he ever atoned for the sins of mankind. The Quran emphasizes that Jesus was a mortal human being who, like all other prophets, had been divinely chosen to spread God's message.

Jesus' death is recorded in a number of nonChristian historical documents (Roman historians who would have likely been killed for writing something inaccurate) of those days. The coming of one who would atone for mankind's sins are written up in the Jewish writings long before Jesus came.

@rosneayu -Yes, that is what islam teaches but that's not what Jesus or his own disciples taught. Who should one believe-the one who actually spoke the words and the eyewitnesses or someone who came along 600 years later (wasn't even there)? Jesus himself said he was God's own son and had existed even before Abraham, which is why the Jews wanted to kill him.

I have a question. And I'm not trying to be argumentative so please don't take it that way I truly want the muslim perspective on this. If God (Allah) is 100% good, how would he be capable of creating those beings from fire? Wouldn't this mean that evil comes from God (Allah) since He would then be the source of it by creating it, yet this concept is not possible if He is 100% good.

Islam believes in washing with dust as a rite of purification. Islam believes you shouldn't drink wine on earth, but you'll drink like crazy in paradise. This is the difference beetween islam and Christianity... Good deeds/bad deeds what is that all abt... Christianity does not depend on good deeds, or praying at cetain times of the day it depends on belief and having a RELATIONSHIP with God...Jesus says you will not get into heaven by doing GOOD deeds but by Loving God and repenting of sin.

"how" is used to describe a body or a shape and Allah is not a body and does not have a shape as Allah does not resemble the creations. "what" is used to ask about the matter and Allah is free from all this.

Allah created everything the heavens, the earth, the throne, the space and everything. Allah existed before everything when there was no place or time. I'm sorry if you took my post as saying that the verse meant that God is a liar in the Qur'an. I was asking people familiar with Islam if the verse in the Qur'an is saying that God is allowed to lie and has lied.

Pickthal is a very common and very erroneous translation of the Qur'an as your posts shows.

If you ever studied arabic or arabic poetry, one line can mean over 1 page of english words.

Either way, the last part you speak about is mentioned in the Qur'an many times.

"The (unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allah too planned, and the best of planners is Allah.

You can see this mentioned again in Surah Alaq and Muslims will constantly say Indeed Allah is the best of planners.
